This is more a compliment to Sammy, VS a put down on Ronnie.
This guy has to be one of the most underrated RB'S in the NFL. All he does is, the JOB. The guy just hits any lane made available to him, time and time again. He doesn't look flashy doing it, no there are no exciting spin moves for an extra half yard, just a straight ahead Bull Rush for positive yards.
No wonder Saban wouldn't deal him to the Eagles. He has become one of my favorite players on this team after last season. ON a terrible football team, with no chance of glory and the worst O line in Dolphin History, Sammy averages 4 YPC and RUNS hard on every carry.
If you guys remember from the first drive of the game, we were down to the JETS 8 or 9. And if you remember VS Denver, Nick opted to give the ball to the experienced pro in Morris and he pounded forward for a TD. Of course we can't blame Saban for giving the Ball to Brown down at the Goal Line, but once again, the Dancer lost 2 yards.
Ronnie Brown has all the tools to become one of the BEST backs in the NFL. Size, Speed, Great Hands.. Vision? That comes along with practice. Ronnie is still showing that he should have attended more of camp.
Note to Nick: Next time we are inside the 10, or on the GOAL LINE? Give the ball to the crafty vet with great vision, until Ronnie is ready to do so. Ronnie just doesn't look comy in the offense yet. This isn't practice, this is the game. Give the ball to Sammy, until Ronnie is up to speed and shows those signs in practice.
Don't give it to Evans either. Sammy is a underrated Bull, who finds running lanes. I have been watching this guy turn out good performance time and time again. AM I saying he is better than Ronnie? NO. But around the Goal Line? Until Ronnie shows he understands this offense better, lets take the 6 with Sammy and worry about the 20 million we gave Ronnie during the week in practice.
