Alright, time for another edition. Remember these are my views. You are entitled to your own but just remember that I am right. Got it? Ok let us begin.

-The defense looked solid once again. Tampa Bay isn't an offensive force, but they do have some playmakers in Clayton and Cadillac. Plus, Griese isn't terrible. The first unit didn't give up a TD again and looks like the transition to Saban's D is going swimingly.

-Having said that, we do have a glaring weakness. Sam Madison is going to kill us in run support. All of the big running gains Miami has given up this preseason have been runs to his side. Twice I have seen him stop and then whiff on a half as$ed attempt at a tackle. Saban is going to have to make him tackle. Daniels tackles very well. Heck, even Howard tackles better than Madison.

-Jason Taylor looks like he put on weight doesn't he? I didn't notice in the other games but in this one he looked heavier to me. It didn't take away from his quikness however, on both his sacks he blew right past the linemen without anyone laying a hand on him.

-Crowder is going to be a force. If he gets decent playing time this year, he is going to challenge DeMarcus Ware from Dallas for defensive ROY.

-The safeties look better as well. Bell had the one bad misplay that went for a TD before being called back, but other than that, they seemed fine.

-Traylor is an elephant in a Dolphins uniform

-The o-line looked a lot better. I am starting to not have panic attacks everytime we drop back to pass now. Last year, I held my breath whenever the QB (be it Feeley or other ) said hike. Now, it seems like we at least have a chance to get a throw off as opposed to 1 step 2 step sack, or worse, one step, throw, pick 6.

-Anyone else love the formation with Ronnie and Ricky in the backfield? I lve how Gus was looking for Ronnie but the defense keyed in on him and instead just dumped it to Ricky for eight yards instead. People forget how good Ricky is as catching the ball.

-By the way, I don't know about you, but ricky is looking better this preseason than any of his other preseasons in the NFL, including New Orleans. He has shown his speed and last night, he showed his power bowling over people and actually seeking out contact. The one issue I have is that he lost that weight and now he kind of looks like a bobblehead.

-I keep seeing these overthrows and chalking them up to timing issues. However, Gus has had plenty of time to work with these guys and he should know there speed. Watching the game today I cringed at the overthrows to Gilmore and Boston. Those are plays that need to be made.

-On the other side, Chambers should have made that one catch. He was to worried about stepping out of bounds and wasn't worried enough about securing the football.

-Lee may be cut. I noticed on the opening drive, Diamond was in for a few plays. Not a good sign for Donald. It also wasn't good that he dropped a first down pass on the three yard line either.

-Welker is quickly becoming my favorite player. So far, I have seen him return punts and kicks, urn the football, catch the football, kick field goals and extra points and make tackles on special teams. You might as well try an option pass with him too or have him blitz the QB on defense or something. The guy is the true "Stat Boy." Why? Because he seems to have at least one play in every stat category.

-Boston looks good. However, I caution those who want to see him start. Personally, I think he is better utilized right now than as a starter. I don't want to have him fatigue his knees out and get injured again. four or five throws a game should be plenty adequate to establish him as a threat and keep him healthy. If he shows that he can handle it for the first half, then maybe bring him along further.

-Last but not least. Olindo Mare looks sharp. I think he has had a perfect preseason so far. Donnie Jones looks like a keeper. I know he booted all of his punts into the endzone last night but two of them were not his fault. Our coverage guys didn't stop the ball in time and it costed Jones. I still think we keep Turk though. Mare and him are like bestest buddies.

That is all I got. Feel free to comment and add your own!

I disagree that Crowder is going to be amazing. I think he will be an good linebacker, but not ROY consideration. Good observations otherwise.

Only way that happens is if he gets about 10-12 games in this year and the only way he can do that is if Zach or Seau are injured.

At the very least it looks like we got a great starting LB for when Seau retires. I'm thinking he may take over the middle and Zach might be shifted outside. Sounds far fetched to you? Well that's what happened with Junior's career. It could extend Zach's career by a year or 2.

Mark my words. Crowder will be starting by the end of the season. Be it by injury or otherwise. He is having the best camp out of all our rookies and has outperformed veterans as well.

Loved it? I almost started touching myself when I seen it.

That shoelace catch he made with his finger tips was a nice reminder.

Not in Gus' defense, but last game he put too much air on the deep throws, this week it looked like he was trying to put more arm in it. If he gets it anywhere near the half way mark between air and arm, Chambers is going to have a hell of a year. That said, I hate our qbs.

Isn't it ironic that he caught that pass that was batted up the play before? This guy drives me nuts.

Oh yea. This guy is nothing short of special. Wonder what the Chargers opinion of him now is.

Great post man. Keep'em coming.

Great post, you pretty much nail everything right on the head!

Mare has missed one FG, against either the bears or jags were he slipped when he kicked but it was like a 50 some yard fieldgoal anyways.
