Samson Satele Weak Link!

He has been getting dominated, but i would like to keep him. Not as a starter, but as a back up. He can provide good depth and versatility because he can play guard as well.

We're lucky as hell, though. This draft class is full of very good centers. Two names i can see Miami drafting are Antione Caldwell or Max unger.
 
yea he looked awful yesterday. its a shame i wanted him to be solid for years like he looked last year.
 
He gave Wilfork the business in week 3 . . . and Big Vince returned the favor yesterday.

He isn't the ideal Center for this type of offense, and that may be the reason why we look at another option in the draft. But I think he could play Guard.

Absolutely! Miami needs a bigger C, but let's not throw the baby out with the bath water. Samson may not be an ideal C in this offense, but he can play OG. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if there was a competition between Samson and Smiley for the LG spot this offseason.
 
Samson is a good player, i think he is a fine starter at C and certainly in no need of being replaced. You have to look at what he has had to deal with lately, one of the best defensive linemen in the game Vince Wilfork, along with a strong Raiders defensive line (which he played ok against). People over react too easily when players have bad games.
 
Wilfork had that whole line shaking. I mean, how does the centre get called for a false start? Satele is the definition of inconsistency but I mean, when Wilfork is in that kind of mood, what could he have done? Man's a beast.
 
I won't be surprised if they take a run at the the Center from Cal moving Satele to guard next year...

BTW: Did Satale get poked in the eyes...? (humour) Maybe that's why Satale was so skittish.. I mean Wilfork is disgustingly dirty..., he has a history of just being a jerk..., late and mask grabbing stuff..
 
NT's are getting bigger and stronger; Vince Wilfork, Kris Jenkins, etc...

I can see Miami definitely upgrading the OC position with a bigger body.

its true. you cant hate on him getting dominated by vince wilfork. but, hes been dominated a lot this year, and is a huge reason we cant line up like a regular football team and run the ball..
 
Satele is decent on standing his guy up, but as far as facilitating the run, he gets no real push. I don't see him doing anything inherently wrong mentally most of the time, but I do see him getting overpowered at times. It's just weird that the strongest guy on our line is probably the left tackle.
 
I donk he should be dumped in the off season but I agree with most that we need a bigger body in the center slot.
