Satele is a great football player and needs to be on the Dolphins for depth. He is very versatile and could play fullback on third downs because of his speed and tremendous power. He can play all offensive line positions and from last years injury prone offensive line, the fins need as many starters on the O-line as possible. Depth is the key here. Sorry to say Mauia was another poor pick by Cam.:rimshot:

Mauia's been gone for awhile now. Other than that one video of him going through the wall, he never really impressed me that much.

I like Polite. We haven't had a guy like him since Stanley Pritchett.

I think you're not far off base:
1) Satele could enter the offense as a FB on plays requiring a lead blocker, if he were not a starting linesman.
We would probably use the TE's on pass protection & catching the ball out of the backfield because that's Parcells' prefence. And, no matter how you look @ it, Polite is the man when you need a yard or two. However, like the Refrigerator of Chicago's past, I can envision Satele opening holes in certain offensive packages. Be advised: Mike Ditka's Refrigerator weighed in at 365 lbs (on a good day) not 285. Have to ask yourself: if Satele can't blow people away on the line, why would he be able to do it as a lead blocker. But I do think the potential is there. It's something to think about.
2) He has real value as a pulling guard, especially in the WildCat.
3) And is an extremely versatile offense linesman: LG & Center backup.
4) Satele may have the ability (if he gains size & strength) to regain a start on the offensive line in 2009. I don't ever want anyone to think I have a low opinion of his potential or ability to play. I simply think it is obvious at this point that he is not getting the job done @ Center. To be effective we need a FranchiseMonsterCenter to anchor the middle & drive the defenders off the ball after the snap. we need to find the right fit @ Center. Satele is, at best, a second consideration.:boohoo:
Parcells & Co. are very creative in utilizing talent, match-ups & systems. In the end, if all else, is not in sinc, they will utilize him in a deal to help the team with draft choices to fill another need. Everyone that is on this team will come & contribute.

if they pull him from center give him a T.E.'s Number.. im on this bandwagon.. let him line up as fullback or t.e. to block.. be a better blocker than that tall skinny dude we got from the packers.. lol w/e his name was

:up:that would work. His name: David Martin. Fact is, he started out as a WR not a TE. Astute observation. Kudos, 21!
While we're at it, why not consider him for the SpecialTeams unit? He become the new JimJenson, a man for all seasons.

Not David martin, Joey Haynos hes like 4 inches taller than martin! lol i had a brain fart couldnt think of his name but its kind of interesting that the packers let us have all there T.E.'s i guess bubba Franks is next..

Could replace either one in running situations & play SpecialTeams too!
I'm sure all these possibilities are being kicked around.
You just never know what the front office is thinking:crazy:

Polite was a real find. I"ve got absolutely no problem with him or with Fasano or Martin - at least while we have glaring other holes to fill. I like Satele's athleticism too but signing Brown would definitely be a coup and you can't have too much 2nd team depth on the OL - or maybe as "Plan B" if Polite or one of the TEs go down. Either way, he's a keeper!

Satele would dominate at fullback and Ronnie would have huge holes to run through. Sorry to say Mauia was another poor pick by Cam.:rimshot:
We do not need another fullback- In fact I couldnt come up with one name I like better than polite (Mauia is long gone)

Polite was money on 3rd and 4th and short- no one did it better last year

think you just cut right through to the heart of the matter & the obvious truth
I complete agree with you :D

23 said Joey Haynos was picked up by the Jets? When did this happen?
