I have to agree with Armando on this. He's a center, not a converted guard. Wth is he not at our camp right NOW? Amazing to me.

Fins will sign a center within the next 48 hours. This mornings practice was an embarrassment for an NFL franchise. Starting Center looks lost and in way over his head with a position he has never played before. Back-up center gets hurt unfortunately. It becomes a wasted day and in the NFL you can't waste practices, especially the select few you are allowed to have in pads.

Not like they need him for an entire season, just a handful of games. He is better than any center the Fins currently have!!
Unless you want to watch Shelly Smith snap the ball everywhere BUT to Tannehill the first 6-8 games the Fins gotta sign some Vet center

I case you haven't noticed we don't have a true, healthy center on our roster, AND if you haven't been paying attention (which obviously you haven't) in the first hour of practice we already have two snaps over the QB's head. That's a BIG problem. I'm not one who typically agrees with Armando but he's right about getting a backup center like Satele in camp. Right now.

Been asking for Samson since before OTA's, but for guard. Lol. Doesn't hurt to try him at center at this point.

Exactly, and Smith has had 5 bad snaps in the first 4 practices. He can't do the position. It is very clear

Something has to be done at C. Move Smith to RG and give the job to Garner or go find a vet that can actually snap. I have no issue giving Smith a shot, but this is not working.

Kyle Cook is a vet C that would pick things up fast. Wade Smith has snapped before, played for Benton and is still available.
I think it has to be Garner or go into FA to solve this.

What's wrong Satele had that bad of a practice people want him gone?
Satele is an average player that plays every down like it's his last.
A player like this should be excelling, not hitting a wall , or degressing in skills.
I hate reading news like this, reality sinks in and I wake up from the dream that Philbin and his boys will get it right this season.
I hope D. Jordan is in there on 90% of the snaps or more. I want to see more players on the Fins EXCEL! I hope they get it right this season...

I know Garner could do the job Hayden but I don't feel confident with him there for any length of time. There just isin't alot of options unfortunately. Let's hope they bring someone else in but again will he be better than Garner. They may have to try and make a trade late in preseason if someone on another team is on a bubble but that's no preparation time for the season.

I agree that Garner for a half a season is somewhat disconcerting. However, I think the idea of Smith not even being able snap the ball successfully means the team needs to look elsewhere…either with Garner or a FA.
I am a big Garner fan…always liked the guy, but you are right about him being a "longterm" solution.
