Sanders needs to be replaced

Money wise, cap wise they have to keep him this season. I believe he was paid all his guaranteed money on the ridiculous 5 yr 22 mil contract, but not sure if he still gets some deferred to this season.

Either way, it's the DEAD CAP # that will keep him on the team until the off-season. Dead cap # if they cut him this season is $4,575,000. If cut after season it is only $800K.

I feel the money is dead anyway since he is a below average player.

Eat the guaranteed money but spend an extra 2 million or so for a new kicker. Not sure who is out there, but it has to be better than what we have.

Was at the Browns game last year. During the warm up’s it was embarrassing. He was kicking lollipops from 40 yard line. Cleveland kicker was on the 50 but his kicks got through the uprights in half the time.

he’s the worst kicker in the NFL from 50+ yards out. Aside from that he’s shaky everywhere else. I am convinced he’s going to cost us a game at some point. I know the easy out is at the end of the season but I’d really love to see him replaced like today.

He’s stealing money at this point. Most unreliable player on the 53.

Couldn't agree more. It was a big problem last year and still is. Placekickers are very replaceable.

Gould is out there, Succop, Crosby, Blankenship. This is an easy fix.

Pull the play up. It was a play action where he spun to his right and took 3 steps back. No chance he gets the ball out any quicker than he did. The reality is he made that throw because Hill was going all out on a deep route and he simply didn’t have the juice to deliver.

Not trying to make this a Tua thread. Just defending the coach here. This wasn’t on him. If what you say is true it’s a bad throw and decision from Tua. He has thrown the ball further than 50 yards in the air. He has more than that. But he came out of his mechanics and ball came out off. Either way not on MM.

4/13 from 50+ since 2021… I believe this is the worst in the NFL.
It is the worst. Minimum of 10 attempts.

If you can’t hit from 50+ there’s not much value nowadays. Guys are hitting from 60 for crying out loud.

It’s simply time to try and upgrade the position. In season I doubt they do it, but next year I would barring a major turnaround

Strong username to thread relevance here.

Yeah bad ball. Hill never had a chance. At least it was picked at the 15 and gave them a long field.

Take a look around the league and see how many kickers are money from over 50. Paniero is 7 for 7 over 50 yard attempts. Look at Dallas, rams, Seattle Pitt. I can go on and on. Sanders is fn horrendous.
