So this is very far fetched but considering all of the legal issues that santonio holmes has had since being drafted, does anyone think there is an outside chance that the steelers cut him, and since we were considering drafting a WR in the first round, the dolphins pick him up. I know it seems nuts but it entered my mind a couple nights ago when I heard he was arrested again. opinions.

No, there is a better chance he goes to jail than the steelers cutting him.

i dnt want him anymore, he has to many problems, and we have there WR's we need now

1) Steelers won't cut him.

2) If they did, we are already set at WR.

3) If they did cut him and we did go after him, we would not be top bidder.

 Get real...
No way he gets cut

and if it was that much of a pain im sure they would trade him to the 49ers they need all the WR help they can get !

He's not getting cut, and I would rather he be Cowher's problem.

I love seeing the Steelers have these problems!!!!! The only better teams would be Bills, JEts, or Pats!

yea, you guys are right. It was just a thought anyway. I have to admit I didnt think it was going to get shot down so quickly, either way I was just trying to start a post about something other than us possibly winning a superbowl or the status of daunte. Thanks anyway.

First of all the character issues are a concern. Many people are harping about Vick, but I'd rather take a flyer on Vick than on this kid. He's been arrested twice now since being drafted. Not only that, I read he has a kid with several women. 3 different women I think.

Secondly, I feel we have good depth at reciever now. Aside from Chambers and Booker, Welker was a good third opiton. In free agency we added Kelly Campbell who is a fast deep threat who can alternate returning duties with Welker. Then you factor in the drafting of Hagan and and Armoshodu (spelling?). Plus frank Murphy and that other kid who was on our practice squad last year who is supposed to be good. I think we are now fairly deep at wide reciever.

I totally agree about Vick. Sure, he's had his problems, but as far as I know he's been a model citizen ever since joining the Dolphins. You know if he slips up Nick will cut him loose. And since he was an undrafted free agent, that would cost the Dolphins nothing. It's a low risk-potentially high reward situation.

As for Holmes, that's Pittsburgh's first-round pick, and he's already been arrested twice. Not good. Couple that with Big Ben's motorcycle mishap and it hasn't been a good few weeks for Steelers fans.

I wonder what happened to this kid. He was a model player with hardly any character issues until he was drafted by the Steelers. Maybe its that team or just thinking he's the sh*t since beig drafted. Oh well. At least he's not our problem.
