Hm..That's interesting. Satale can get out in space and is pretty mobile. They've been doing alot of pulling with Smiley...Maybe it is in the cards.

I think a lot of people (myself included) wanted Satale at guard last year because he was so good at pulling, but certain people kept saying that would be pointless as his pulling ability as a C would make him elite (which doesn't make sense since you don't really pull centers).

Satale does his best in space so he scould be a very good guard.

A while back i made a statement about satele not being the starting center next yr. Everyone was giving me crap about it. He is not good enough to ever be an all pro center. He will be great OL depth. I see him as a backup OL or maybe a starting guard. Parcells and company dont like his size at center cuz he gets blown off the line many times. He is definitely a weak link.

I think the biggest reason for Satele and Carey struggling is the RG carousel going on in between them. The left side is set and gelling but the uncertainty on the right side I think has the most to do with it.

interesting hadnt heard anything about satele good stuff to hear well as far as updates

Alleman can also play C and has more size than Satele. Justin Smiley was a RG before coming here, though I'm not sure I'd mess with the left side with Long playing as well as he is. You also have to consider long-term implications of a move...what to do with Donald Thomas at RG when he comes back?

I think LG is in his future. Jonathan Luigs, come on down!

what about the substantial investment we just made in smiley, who by all accounts has been playing as well or better than anyone on our line?

Donald Thomas is a stud. That RG spot is his once he comes back. That spot hasn't been the same without him.

Have a competition for the spot. I just believe that Samson has too much talent to not be starting somewhere on the line.

It appears the team is not real happy with Satele and want a "bigger" guy for the position. Maybe a possible move to RG is in his future.

Unless this anonymous official has the last name Parcells, Ireland, or Sparano, I really can't put too much stock in this report.

After a similar anonymous source was cited in reporting that Wes Welker would be cut from the team during the 2006 preseason.
