I hear a lot of talk about how good Satele is, how much better he is than last time and how well our system suits him.

I don't get this, I don't think he is good at all, in fact he is crap.

Surely I cant be in the minority in this?

Yes u are. Lol. On a serious note, i dont think anyone really thinks he is great. It´s more that he is serviceable, and his decent play gave us the flexibiity to play the best 5 offesive lineman at a time. Kudos to samson.

When you have the crap that has masqueraded as offensive lineman the past years
even mediocre players start to look good.Just remember our head coach is an
offensive line guru with over 20 years as an offensive line coordinator..if that means anything

He answers the bell and is adequate for what he is asked to do. There are few elite centers in the game so we're going to have to roll with what we got.

I was happily surprised at his play. He suits our O-line style of play. He does struggle against the bigger nose tackles. He was a great pick up considering the situation we were in. Will he go to the probowl ? Umm no. He is a good fill in player.

He's played fairly well in my opinion against some strong DLines. Do we need work on the line, he'll yes, but we played well against div. Leaders so hard to kill one guy.

'serviceable' is about the right descriptor .... is Pouncey better - for sure...

he does get blown up by talented NTs ... Has short arms ... All things we new from his original stint here ....

his value is getting Pouncey to G, where even though he hasn't been all world there, he is much better than any other option we have right now.

The main point is ... We can't get better along the OL at this point, so he adds value today.

If that translates into him being the solution next year, then yep - that's a problem!

We aren't winning the SB this year .... Hopefully a WC win against either CIN (preferred) or IND ....

We got spoiled first with Langer and then Stevenson. And Ruddy was pretty good too. Satele has done a decent but he might not be back next year. I think Pouncy will go back to center. We had 2 hall of fame centers almost back to back.

Truly amazing that we're 7-5 and not down with the Raiders, the Bucs and the Jets. All these crap players that we're carrying according to this board.

Satele is crap.
Tannehill is crap.
Wake needs trading.
Our D is overrated.
Lamar Miller is average.
Wallace is crap.
Hartline's crap.
Hell, I read a thread that Landry is only decent as well.

How the hell is this team 7-5 and played with the Broncos and the Packers ? Beat New England ?!?? How'd that happen ????

Until we have 22 pro bowlers that never get hurt this is what you'll get.

Nope. The Pro Bowl is a sham popularity contest that rewards players for name recognition.:lol::lol:

Maybe if you changed that to All-Pro's ... Nah, people would still find things to bitch about. :)

On that same thought, we must give our coaches some credit as well. We've played well with all our injuries and players are getting better. The only guys I think who have not developed as expected are Taylor and Davis. Tannehill, Sims, Lamar Miller, Landry, Misi, Jenkins, Jones, etc have grown this past year. Then only other individuals that have regressed are our punter and kicker.

I don't know because the coach is crap too (you forgot to include him). Philbin gets the blame for everything wrong...the coordinators and positions coaches get credit for everything that goes well.

True but in general Finheaven posters would rather blame coaches than players unless those players are already whipping boys (Daniel Thomas, Philip Wheeler, Jason Trusnick, Dallas Thomas, Dion Jordan) those guys are OK to blame. There are some darlings that NEVER get blamed for anything (Obviously Tannehill, Wallace to some extent, McCain, Matthews to some extent, Landry). I've been here a long time this is how it's always been. Sometimes the darlings become whipping boys over time (see Chad Henne) and sometimes the whipping boys have no right being such (Pennington).

Tannehill gets blame for a lot of things...including Wallace's inability to pull in passes on occasion...Tannehill gets blamed for not being pin point accurate. Not all of Tannehill's passes are accurate but short of Landry our WR corp generally has a pretty small catch radius. Wallace also gets plenty of blame. McCain...you're right...coaches get blamed for not playing him...Philbin is holding him down, Coyle doesn't know how to use him, blah, blah, blah. Same with Matthews.

I don't know if anyone saw the game last night but late in the game Romo threw a deep pass to Dez Bryant that was one of the worst deep passes I've ever seen. Bryant had 4 yards on the CB, out in front, down the sidelines and Romo threw that ball 8 yards inside and short...safety was coming over and Bryant tracks the ball, moves inside and leaps over the two defenders to come down with the ball. That's what Tannehill needs. A guy you can just throw it up to and know he's going to make a play for his QB.
