saturday afternoon mini camp

I love getting to hear or read the reports. Being in arkansas i don't get a chance to see or hear anything. So, i appreciate any kind of info i can get.

Thanks for the link. It's good to read different reports of what's happening in these mini-camps.
Fans will be encouraged that receivers coach Terry Robiskie is really putting his troops through intense instruction  especially Chris Chambers. Robiskie reminds me of former WR coach Jerry Sullivan, except Robiskie seems to be a little bit more involved on the field. Sullivan's forte was his teaching in the classroom. Maybe there's hope for Chambers yet.

I really hope so.

Jason Allen really looks good at cornerback. I've always loved his closing speed. How this might translate to game conditions, I don't know. But he can cover.

This is always encouraging to hear . . . I know ALL Dolphin fans are rooting for this kid. I also like the Rod Wright reports . . . man there is hope after all for the 2006 draft.

You'll stay pretty well informed about the Dolphins if you make some favorites or shortcuts for these ... especially if you install RealPlayer and Windows Media Player on your PC so you get the audio and video.

this is the last practice of the day?

Can someone explain the off season program to me. What are teams/players allowed to do as far as workouts and what they are not allowed to do.

The reason I ask is because I don't understand how players are supposed to be evaluated and coached when all they are doing is these little 3 day mini camps in which they only do 1 1/2hrs twice a day. What do they do between tomorrow morning and the next mini camp in June?

Practice just concluded. Drive home safe and remember to tip your waitress.

i love that quote i use it sometimes haha!

The reporters blog expressed surprise at Hadnot being moved to the first team to right guard. The bigger surprise: who's Jonathan Ingram the guy starting at center. Also what about Toledo is he still hurt? (the new Eddie Moore of the Dolphins?)

isn;t this a non contact camp??

I was there this morning. They were not wearing any pads, but it was definitely as much contact as you could get without pads.

There were some really good pops out there. They were running some full-on 7-on-7 run plays hard into each other. I was pretty surprised. But it was fun to watch.

One of the reporters mentioned a good "hit" from Zach on Ronny Brown. Ronny was 15 yards down field from the LOS by this time, but we all heard (and felt) the hit from up in the stands. It was chest-on-chest and facemask-on-facemask. They bounced off each other, laughed it off, and trotted back to the huddle. I remember thinking most people would have been laid out, or on the way to the emergency room by now.

A lot of different players are getting mentioned in these threads but I don't recall any mention of Joey Porter.
