Yesterday Listening to the Local Cleveland ESPN station (850 WKNR) they had Phil Savage on the air. From his interview he mentioned wanting guys that would be imediate contributors to the team and that would be able to start right away. Also it was asked if Randy Lerner (owner) was telling him who to pick and he said that Lerner wasn't directing him one way or the other (from our fears that owner wanted QB). From that and from everyone else I hear here in NE Ohio it feels like the shift has gone away from Quinn, but focused more on Thomas (especially since their FA OL Steinbach had an apendectomy), then Peterson. I hope I'm right as this could lead to Quinn falling just enough

Here's how I'm calling it....

Oak - Russell
TB (Det) -CJ
Clev -Thomas
Det - Adams
Mia (Ari) - Quinn

Thanks Wolf!
the word down here in Davie is that if he's still on the board when Washington picks we may trade with them. I believe that he's the top rated Qb in the Fins board and they're concern that Minesota is not just talking up Quinn as a smoke screen, so they will try to leap frog them. It may cost us our second 2nd Rd.

I heard that same interview and came away with a different feeling. He sounded like he was trying to get fans ready for Quinn saying that sometimes you can't always make the most popular pick. And anyone around here knows that most people do not want Quinn in Cleveland myself included. I would rather the Browns draft Russell/Peterson/Thomas and Miami trade up to grab Quinn. Just my opinion.

Trading with ARI makes no sense. They will not select Quinn and neither will WAS. If we trade up to get him it will be with WAS so MIN does not have an opportunity. Also, we have more leverage in a trade with WAS because they have so few picks. It has been reported (John Clayton) that it would only take a 3rd round pick or possibly a 4th and a 7th from someone in the top ten to move up to WAS spot at 6.

If Quinn falls out of the top 4, Miami doesn't need to give away picks. Quinn will fall into our lap at #9.

I agree. If by some miracle Quinn slips past the Browns (I still think it's unlikely) then we are on the phone with the Redskins pronto.

Just stay right at 9 and let the BS get tossed aside. TEams will draft who they think will make the biggest impact. More and more I hear ? about Quinn at those top spots. Skins will not take Quinn. Just wait it out and move accordingly. Worst to worst, get Levi Brown and get your QB at 40.

your thinking wrong, if quinn is our guy which pretty much everyone thinks he is, then if he is there at #6 we have to leap frog Minny to avoid them picking him up. it is that simple because minny is very interested in quinn but not enough to give up more for him, us we have another 2nd we could dangle to try to get quinn. I say after clevland picks and it isnt quinn, we have to have daniel snyder on speed dial.

Not everyone thinks Quinn is "our" guy.

Right now as much as I like the idea and hope Quinn is falling...

You can NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING any GM or coach is saying about the draft right now. There is NO WAY they would put out their true intentions and risk alerting someone that wants the same guy and having them trade in front of you and thus losing the guy they wanted. Right now, EVERYTHING you read/hear from any team is all SMOKESCREEN. Unless you are a personal friend of some GM that really trusts you...
