Last season on the team, that’s a lock . I think we save like $5M with his release so that will be a no brainer contract to move on from.

It's a slow start, but it's early. Do agree that linebacker will be a priority next offseason.
Our defense overall has been good (big in game 1 and big when they needed to be in game 2).

Baker impact is as a blitzer, we haven’t run a true cover 0 yet. I think we are afraid to run it without Jones and having 2 true shutdown corners. We may have no choice if we want to beat the bills though.
Really think it’s a huge mistake that we play Baker and Roberts so many snaps. Our talent is on the DL, at edge, and in the secondary. Baker is a terrible football player, and Roberts is one-dimensional. We should be playing AVG and Ingram more snaps, and we should be playing Baker, Roberts, and Riley as little as possible. Next season, we absolutely must find a three-down ILB to replace Baker.

I think they've run cover 0 multiple times, including the Bateman 75 yard td.

Sort of. It looks like we blitz 6 but keep one linebacker spying Jackson. Think Jackson’s speed scared them from sending the farm.

They did and got burned several times, it's hard to run without good coverage corners. This is why Byron Jones was underappreciated when he was healthy.

Plus Van Noy freed up a lot for AVG to get after the QB, ever since Van Noy left, AVG has been a non factor.

I don't think Baker is bad. He is just mediocre. He would be great as our 2nd MLB, not our 1st, but he definitely gets paid like a #1. Another horrible Chris Grier extension. Serious question, at this point in his tenure has he made even one good extension? There has to be at least one good one... Ogbah maybe but let's see how that plays out first. Anyone else? That is a very troubling stat.
Noticed they were much better in the 2nd half, even with a gimpy X. Kohou have something to do with that maybe? Except the prevent drive, they were pretty stout in coverage.
