I've read the first 47 pages so far. You can say goodbye to Jim Turner, and I'm thinking Kevin O'Neil (head trainer) could be fired as well. I'm just wondering if anything will happen with Pouncey.

See ya. O-line sucked and was soft. Can them all and raid the free agent market.

He wasn't a good coach and I have to believe that he would have been fired weeks ago, but they hung on to him so Philbin and the Dolphins can look like they are trying to change the culture of the team by firing him now.

They will be changing the culture if Turner was a part of it.

Turner was kept around to be the sacrificial lamb after the finding were released. They have already hired his replacement. The guy was a bone head for not controlling the players, and now for sticking around to be fired. What an idiot. He should have quit to save some element of respect.

He deserved to be fired based on his work(or lackthereof) alone. Anytime we set a franchise record in a negative way, im all for coaches being evaluated. While admittedly he didnt have much to work with when it came to our line, the way it performed this past season was too atrocious.

This scandal just adds weight to the case for his termination.

On a related note: can we fire our ****ing legal department? Turner sending Martin texts for days after all this blew up and after Martin warned him he was being advised not to respond to texts...:bobdole:

I just read part of the AP story on the Wells report and the first thing I thought of was your thread title, OP (and that was before I had even clicked over to finheaven). So, you beat me to the punch here.

Miami actually continues to look shady and conniving by how they handled this. They knew this was coming and kept Turner just so they could publicly bury him now. Man, that's COLD!

The Jim Turner firing is imminent, the Wells' report will be the icing on the cake. The front office already had a plan in place for firing Turner when they hired John Benton and Ben Martin. The entries on Kevin O'Neil surprised me, he should be replaced too. If Ross & Philbin wants to change the culture of the locker room, look no further than Turner and O'Neil.

The offensive line unit created a culture among themselves that is "bi-polar." The culture they created is harsh and not for the soft, but you can tell they are a closely knit unit too (kinda wierd and hard to explain).

From my take on the report, I don't think much will happen to Pouncey, he might get a fine for any involvment they feel is against team policy. Pouncey and John Jerry were Incognito "lackeys" but accountabiliy needs to be enforced.

See ya Turner, now leave thru the revolving doors you created.

I dont disagree that Pouncey will skate by...but im growing more and more alarmed by him. It seems like whenever theres something sketchy going on with the players of this franchise Pouncey is heavily involved.

Hernandez, drugs, Wells report...its all starting to add up. And while little can be definitively proven, its starting to paint a picture on the guy. The pattern of behavior doesnt strike me as a kid just having fun, but instead it seems like a guy who's personal problems are about to escalate and blow up his career. Despite his talent, i would not mind getting him off this roster as quickly as possible.

Between now and the draft, I would expect Dennis Hickey to test the trade value of Mike Pouncey. Yes, he has shown signs of being a Grade-A knucklehead with his ties to the Aaron Hernandez investigation and the Jonathan Martin situation, but he's also a Pro Bowl player. If the Dolphins can get a second- or third-round pick for him, I wouldn't be surprised to see them move him. If they can't, Pouncey plays out the last year of his rookie deal and the team figures out the center position in 2015.

I think it was obvious that Jim Turner would be gone when Miami started hiring "assistant offensive line" coaches...
