Man...I don't know how many Ohio St. people may be on this board, but, as a Hollywood native and lifelong SC fan, I'm loving this game. I've been saying since it was announced Ohio St was gonna get ran in this game. I love when these overrated SEC or Big 10 teams come out to the Pac10 and get absoultely destroyed.

Ha....I hope the fans enjoy all the frequent flyer miles they earned, it's gonna be a damn long ride home...

(though, the TD by Rey should've been called back, he clearly stepped out)

Goodnight Buckeyes!

My prediction was 48-17, let's see how it ends up!

S.

I'll bet those Buckeye fans will say they were beat up because their star running back isn't playing. While I'll agree he might have made a bit of a difference, it's pretty clear to me right now that USC has the best team in College football. That being said, it is college football and things can and will change.

even if Beanie was playing it would be tough. OSU has decent depth, not as great as some make it out to be (aside from RB), and IMO a lot of their players look better because they go up against lesser opponents. Trust me, as a Michigan fan I hate OSU, but I can admit when they are talented. They are nowhere near as good as the team from 2 years ago, and their D will struggle a bit because they don't have the pass rush threat they've had in years past with Gholston (or Pit**** up the middle).

USC on the other hand has so many guys that will be in the NFL. Rey Mauluga and Brian Cushing will be first rounders this year and Fili Maola has a shot. Taylor Mays will be a first rounder when he enters. Patrick Turner and Vidal Hazleton will be drafted. Everson Griffen will become a top DE prospect and Blake Ayles will be a top TE prospect. Kris O'Dowd is arguably the top C in the country as a sophomore. As will their RBs and their FB (who is so versitile). Cliff Mathews also has a shot of being drafted. And of course, Mark Sanchez can make himself into the top QB of the 2010 class with 2 solid seasons.

And that's just their starters. Ronald Johnson can develop into a top prospect. Chris Gailappo was the Army All-American Bowl MVP at LB and the only thing holding him back are 3 very good LBs in front of him. Tyron Smith and Matt Khalil (Ryan's little brother) are two of the best OL prospects in the last couple years. And just wait until a guy by the name of Matt Barkley steps in and takes over for Mr. Sanchez.

So while OSU has a lot of nice players, USC is just gonna be scary (and IMO they were held back the last couple years by JD Booty)

I think they'd give a few NFL teams a challenge. Must be hard to recruit at USC, huh? Great campus, great weather, hot chics, etc.. should I go on?

The big game of the week is turning out to be a bust. USC is just all over them.

I called this even before Beanie got hurt and OSU flopped against against Ohio. This year's USC team is not giving back to vets who waited their turn (as much as I respect Chauncey Washington for re-earning his scholly, and JD Booty for his class, they held USC back the last two years IMO). This USC team is the best team I've seen since their last national title that had Leinart, Bush, White, Davis,Byrd, Smith,Baker,Justice, and Khalil on offense and Tatupu,Grootegood,Cody, and Patterson on defense. And this team could be BETTER than that team (depth wise on offense, no WR they have now is better than either Smith or Jarrett were that year, but Mauluga and Cushing are probably better than Tatupu and Grootegood, and the pass rush and secondary are probably better too)

as a canes fan i am loving it hate osu since that championship got handed to them by that referee who obviously got paid off by one of those osu boosters. a blind could have made the right call.

ohio st. is such a joke they havent beat anyone good in 3 years

I read the thread title and wonder when Ohio State is playing South Carolina.

My schedule shows OSU playing USC, not SC.

And this is not a day to brag on th Pac 10 power.... UCLA... Washington... California... Stanford... Arizona trailing by 12 a I type this... Pac 10 ill not go 500 today and the UCLA and Washington losses combined with Californian losing to a team that lost to Middle Tennessee is commentary enough on the Pac 10.

Not that I mind that much when OSU takes it on the chin like this...

I'm calling it right now, USC will be national champs. Their team is just too talented this year (and this is after losing Fred Davis,Sed Ellis, Lawrence Jackson, and Keith Rivers). Whoever plays them in the bowl game will be crapping their pants. USC will wipe the floor with whoever they play IMO.

We'll if we're going to be technical, where is Californian? Is that Californian U. or U. of Californian? And true, several Pac-10 teams took a beating today, but they went 2-0 vs. the Big Ten. :d-day:

Taint is forever cursed because of that.

I loved that beatdown last night...I can't see anyone beating USC this year.

As a buckeye fan, I will admit what happened in the game last night was what every buckeye fan expected. Heck we all knew what the outcome was going to be after we watched ohio st. beat ohio u. And I do feel that usc will be national champs, but as history shows, you can be a one loss team and make it to the national championship. Anyway, there is always next year when usc has to come to osu.

Yes, the trojans come to the horseshoe next year, where it will be a different game.
boeckman just doesn't play good against great teams but next year pryor will be the man.
