Can someone please explain why we played to lose on that play instead of throwing the ball. Reminds me to much of wanny ball!! That really hurt, where was the swagger from last year where chances were taken. I mean it's Peyton Manning and the Colts not Thigpen and the Chiefs. The coaching staff wilted on this one.

Peace........................

Yeah that call was dumb running it on 3rd and 6 with a run play! I mean the passing game was working fine (minus a few exceptions), but would have been enough to warrant a first down. Giving Peyton the ball back with that much time left killed us

it really made no sense to set up a long field goal on that dirt. They should have taken a shot at making the first.

good thing they made the FG, otherwise they might have lost, oh nevermind.

I totally agree. We played for a FG twice. Once before the half, and again in the 4th. It;s ****ing stupid. I don't think I've ever been so pissed about a playcall in my entire life.

Roger Goodell must have called Sparano and said "look, run it here, i can't have my most marketable players losing on national TV" because thats the only reason the Dolphins would just GIVE away the game right there, which is basically what they did.

I think we all knew we weren't gonna win after that. My dad and I looked at each other and we knew.

i screamed at my television when they did that. we were having pretty good success on 3rd down as well.

Except they turned right around and gave US the ball back with plenty of time to win it and we looked like a team that had never been in that situation in their lives.

You need a TD to win and you got 3 minutes and 2 time outs, we run some draws while taking our sweet time, and then a QB sneak with no timeouts and like 20 seconds left on third down.. Its mind boggling how poorly that was run with the type of QB we have and the type of coaching/front office managing we have..

Carpenter seems like he kicks better from the dirt. We need to put dirt patches on both sides of the field. Then we have a real advantage!

Wanny ball indeed. I was pissed at that. Why not throw on 3rd and 6. If you don't get it you kick the FG anyway.

Obviously people mistake this as complaining for running the ball all game, no, i'm not complaining about that at all, that's exactly what I wanted and what we needed. But quite simply I have a problem with situational calls like this, where they play to lose instead of win.

Chicken chit play calling, and the worst clock management i have ever witnessed in my life. They didn't play not to lose, they played to lose. Mission accomplished.

We played not to lose, Indy played to win. We played for field goals, they made touchdowns. We played dink and dunk, they played thunder and lightning. If and when we go 0-3 it will be Henne time.

Agree with everything you said except Indy played dink and dunk also. The long pass to Clarke was a 10yd throw with poor coverage and a piss poor tackle by Wilson hitting him up high leading to 70yac and the other td pass was a screen. They dink, dunk and run our receiver falls down!
