Scary Thought: What if Pennington signed with the Patriots instead of Dolphins?

One of the scariest things to think about in my opinion is the possibility of Chad being signed as a back up immediately after his dismissal from the Jets. The Patriots lost the superbowl; however, they ended up winning every game during the season.

In the other hand, Miami lost all of their games but one game. While Pennington had the choice to be a starter in either Miami or Kansas City, he also had the chance to play as a back up for New England.


Do you believe that the Patriots would still be as dominant with a player like Chad behind the center?

I'm guessing if we hadn't signed Pennington we'd be seeing Henne out there going through some baptism under fire. Would the Pats be as dominant as before? I doubt it, but they'd be better than they are now.
