I think somewhere in the draft we need to pick up a Scat type back to complement Ronnie B. I think Lorenzo Booker might be a good option. He really showed up in the bowl game this year and should do well at the combine, hopefully his stock doesn't rise to high. Do you guys think this is something we should address, and where do you think a guy like Booker might go? I know cameron likes to give his number one guy alot of rest, and his number two guy has a history of being pretty sucessfull.

I think it depends on the Ricky situation, although I'm not sure how clear that will be come draft day. If Ricky is back then RB is set and no additional backs are needed. If not, I agree that a change of pace back would be a good thing, and Booker certainly fits the bill. I haven't read much on his draft stock, but I would guess that he could go as early as the 4th or as late as the 6th.

The RW situation has to be seen. However, I would like to see us pick up a change of pace back. Use Ronnie adn Ricky for power. Use a smaller fast back for change of pace, especially after RB and RW has pounded the defense for three quarters. A similar scenario was Csonka and Mercury Morris.

Look at the Colts and Patrionts. Rhodes (power) and Addai (fast) for the Colts. Dillon (power) and Moreany (fast) for the Patriots.

I Forgot all about Ricky. We still might need another speed guy to complement the two like was said.

Garrett Wolfe in the 6th or 7th

Just checked out his bio...I would be happy with this guy too, looks like he can catch and run already. Is he too small? Who can tell...we will have to see how they rate him post-combine; if he's real fast he could possibly turn into a dev hester type of guy with the added dimension of being our 3rd down back?

Link? I would like to see it myself.

I like our one-two punch with ronnie and ricky, but, I have always thought we needed another guy who was a change of pace guy, smaller but quicker and faster, another dimension to our offense would be nice. And, yes I do like Booker as a later round pick, just dont know if we would invest in one this draft or not though with all the needs we have.

Foxsports.com projects Booker in the mid 3rd round.

How is RB set?? Free agency begins in 8 days and we haven't signed Morris, Minor or Barnes and whats up with Eckel. RB is anything but set.

If we take a scat back they need to be a great special teams player, if they are not then I do not see a big value.
