This is on Josh Rosen and he has not a moment to spare.

No matter that Rosen is only 22 years old and about to begin only his second NFL training camp.

Rosen must be assertive from the first meeting prior to Miami Dolphins training camp, which begins, finally, Thursday morning in Davie.

Rosen must show his teammates why he was a first-round pick. Rosen must show his coaches he can be trusted to make intelligent on-field decisions.

Rosen has a brilliant opportunity to demonstrate in these practices, open to media and fans, that he is in fact, Miami’s next franchise quarterback.

Because really, for the Dolphins in 2019, there’s no more essential question.

It's just training camp, but the QB comp reports/tweets will have my attention. Interested to see how Rosen fires out at the start of camp. He was much more in learning mode in OTAs, as the article mentioned. It's about to be show us what you got time.

hope i'm wrong but i see him as a complete bust. think its the fitzpatrick show this year and next year we get our quarterback in the draft. if he was any good the Cards wouldve kept him

Thanx DK,

Good read. It summed up the situation pretty closely to the way I see it.

He will start games this year, how soon is up to him. I’m hoping we will see the spark from day one. If it’s October and we still haven’t seen him, I wouldn’t get my hopes up. Ryan Fitzpatrick shouldn’t be that much of a hurdle for a franchise guy.

I think he's a bust too, but if Kyle Murray isn't available they keep him.

...geez guys -- I'm no Rosen promoter but give the kid a chance!

He was subjected to a perfect **** storm last year and still had

respectable numbers vs. Darnold...

Whatever he is at this point -- he's definitely NOT a "bust."

Let's give the process some time and forgo any conclusions

until Rosen has had sufficient opportunity to show what he's capable of.

“Find your game lad”

Thinks I will look for in preseason, if he just tries to operate the offense from the pocket and starts panicking and getting sacked, he isn’t ready, if I see him start to take off to try and convert some first downs with his legs I will feel he is starting to get what winning means..

The question is ..what is Rosen doing to get better in the offseason? The greats work at their craft in order to be the best. I have not heard a peep on that front which tells me the guys just thinks he is going to get better by just simply showing up to training camp.

I hate this mentality. It's ok to judge someone based on random assumptions? Thats bull....

Rosen has the intelligence and athletic ability to do very well in practice/preseason, in those controlled environments. Once the action is real and opponents look to take away plays or confuse him I predict he will relapse to the same QB which was seen last year... Hesitant, inaccurate and uninteresting.

Y'all please get off of Josh Rosen's back, let him go and do his thing, Sam Darnold, did no better than him, the Cardinals didn't replace him because of his talent, they found a Qb that the NEW coach wanted. This Job is not for Fitzpatrick, he was push to the BACK UP position once they signed Rosen, There isn't a QB in this year's draft that's more talented than him, so please stop dooming this kid before he gets started.
