Did not see this posted but tonight on NFL TA, Schefter reported that later this week the league will clear Ricky to report on time next Sunday and be eligible to practice during next Monday's opening day of training camp. He also reported that Ricky has reached out to teammates since his return to S. Fla.
 
I figured the league would do something to encourage Ricky's successful return. Mind you, I hoped it might have been some sort of arbitrated compromise on the suspension. This is still a nice gesture they didn't have to do.

I'm going to make sure to watch the replay when I get off of work tonight.
 
any word on what is contract will be like?

I think he's under contract. The issue would seem to be more about the resolution of his breach of the contract. That certainly could mean a new contract of some sort, but I have to think he's considered as under contract for coming to camp purposes.

damn dude thanks for the info i hope that he is reaching out to some players cause honestly i loved ricky when we traded him. then of course he quit then i hated him when he quit maybe i was just being selfish.

I hope its true that he's reaching out to teamates. Thats a good sign :) .

Man, what a saga this story is and its still a mystery as to how it will end up.

I'm completely intrigued.
 
The way Ricky talked about how he fooled the NFL when taking his drug tests. I don't believe they will give Ricky much of a break. And maybe he doesn't deserve one. Maybe Ricky should earn everything he gets. Including getting back the fans on his side.
 
I thought at one point perhaps the whole deal would include Ricky informing about the way he was cheating the tests. Perhaps that has happened very quietly.
