not a big surprised here...Hoge has liked miami since preseason and i always thought schlereth thought outside the box...dont know what Ditka's pick is but id wager its us. The more u win and dominate the more media u get on board...hopefully if we can pull this out (doesnt look good) we'll get some more ppl. Just thought id let u ugys know.

Lots of people seem to think this is the game the Saints lay an egg. And it could be, i've been having that feeling as well. But like I've said here before, i'd much rather stink it up against you guys, then the following week when we play the hated Falcons.

Nonetheless, I think we learn a lot about the teams this week. If the Saints come out and continue to roll and win by a couple touchdowns, the rest of the league better look out. If the Phins play tough, and win, or even play a tight, could go either way game, i think you guys will have a lot to be proud of, and a very bright future.

Good luck.

Initially, I thought the same as you, that the Saints may overlook the Dolphins because they face the Falcons next week. But then I realized the Dolphins could be in equal danger of overlooking the Saints this week because they have the Jets next week.

Anyway, thanks for the good thoughts and here's hoping to a good game with no injuries on either side.

Michael

We're not overlooking the Saints because of the jest the following week.

A) Our team is actually happy to be playing them in two weeks. No need to get overly thoughtful about this game yet.

B) Stopping the Stains will be our revenge for losing against the Colts. That's are focus right now...to win against a team with a similar attack as Indy.

People know maimi is a dangerous team to play. Because you really gotta come here to fight. You cant come here with finese style of play.

Yeah I saw that...Phil Simms picked us on Inside the NFL to. Collingsworth thought that it could be a trap game, but still picked NO. Interesting that we are getting credit...

I am picking them in my pick'em league, and am pretty confident about it.

SUre as HELL wont be an egg but a defeat to a GOOD TEAM. We aren't no chump *** club.

I think there is a major problem here when people, fans, and the media think the Saints have to come in here and "lay an egg" for the Dolphins to win. Let's not forget that the Dolphins were in the playoffs while the Saints were watching it from home just last season. The Miami Dolphins are a very good football team and that's because they are very good at the basics.. stopping the run, running the ball, solid offensive line, etc. The Saints come in here thinking they are going to come in and walk on the Dolphins than they will leave Miami with a loss

I'm always leery of these so-called "expert" picks. I think it's all about self-aggrandizement and that their private thoughts are often at odds with their public predictions. We're an up and coming team with an unstoppable running game and now a canon-armed accurate young QB to keep the defenses spread and honest. But we still have a 2-3 record although we know that's not representative of who we are. These pundits earn a lot more credibility for picking an "underdog" to upset what could be the best NFL team than they do looking at this with same objectivity that someone outside the Fins Universe probably would. So to me, it's more a calculated prediction than a reflection of what they really might think. Given that, I don't think they're all wrong and sure hope to hell they do end up earning those props!:hump:

Exactly my thought, how many upsets to we have to pull before it becomes us being a good football team as opposed to the opponent laying an egg...

Sounds like a deli order: one Schlereth Hoagie, easy on the kielbasa, please...

Well some people seem to need the media to pick us every week so we are shown respect. Other people hate when the media pick us because they want to be the underdog. I'm in the group that thinks their pick has no bearing whatsoever on the game or opinion of it. Go Phins.
