"as bad as I've ever seen anybody in this game" was the full quote. He's a former great offensive lineman so I take his criticisms into account over other ESPN analysts.

With just a mediocre offensive line, this team is 11-5.

Obviously Mark did not have Jon Martin film on hand from the last two years.

How much do we count Buffalo seeming to know the snap count for or against him?

Clabo in the first half of the season was as bad as I have ever seen at the T position for the phins. I think he was even worse than Colombo and at that time I thought I would never see worse.

Big Mac was terrible, no doubt, and his best days are behind him. But we have a systemic issue and coaching vacuum.

Wow, it's sad that now we seem to be happy with a player not eingvery good cause the guys we had before were worst. Just like everyone hoping the chiefs will rest their starters to see if SD can win and w can get in that way. Thisis not the team I grew up watching in the 70's and 80's.

Ozzy rules!!

I would love to see a breakdown of how many of the sacks were a guy being physically beaten versus a schematic or mental error. The linemen have given up a ton of sacks obviously but there are other contributing factors.

1. There have been stunts or blitzes that left unblocked rushers.
2. The backs and TEs have been manhandled at times. Thomas and Miller have been thrown around like rag dolls literally double digit times. Recall Sims sad display trying to block Umenyiora.
3. Tannehill has held it too long waiting for a play to develop/receivers didn't break routes quick enough.

Where a blocker is not manhandled, there is a significant coaching issue. And the coaching issues are on several fronts:

a) Bad scheming or recognizing what the opponent is doing.
b) Putting players in positions where they cannot succeed, i.e., not recognizing how to optimize player strengths and hide weaknesses.
c) Bad teaching where players do not properly understand their roles.
d) Terrible in-game adjustments. You've got McKinnie pointing things out multiple times that coaches do not see.
e). The elephant in the room, Martin and Incognito cluelessness.

I think McKinnie is the last thing I'm worried about right now. And in fact, he's pointed out some adjustments we can make and at least seems aware of issues that need correcting. We have no thinking leaders on that line so he seems to be filling the role.

And after this whole season, I'm still scratching my head that the line can't pass protect or run block consistently, when at the start of the season the personnel on the line is not enough of an explanation for this poor of a performance. So I'm sorry, but that leads me back to coaching to a degree. You just can't escape that.

We have weaknesses on offense, and they show in games with stronger opponents, or opponents who seem to have figured us out. Even when we win, it's down to the wire.

If I'm Joe Philbin this is my number one priority, and it should have been last season as well. Fix the offense. From what I hear, Philbin is a delegating kind of guy. But if that one guy in the press box (Sherman) is not getting it done, then where are the assistant coaches? Do we have a great QB coach mentoring Tanny? Is the O line coach making the necessary adjustments? Why is McKinnie having to point out things to the coach, why isn't it the other way around?

I think one of the main issues is the relative absence of constraint plays on offense. You can't go back into shotgun repeatedly and run a very small percentage of runs and constraint plays from that formation. You become highly predictable, and defensive linemen and blitzers are able to pin their ears back. Couple that with a predictable rhythm and cadence, insufficient talent on the line, and a developing QB, and you give the defense a world of an advantage, thus causing league-leading sack numbers.

I agree with Hayden and WV.

Mark Schlereth did not watch our first 6 games if that's the worst tackle performance he's ever seen.
