We have to find some way to resign Schulters. He was one of the few bright spots in our secondary last season and he still has more good seasons in front of him. We have to have a veteran in our secondary... I don't think he's going to demand the kind of money that we can't afford right now. He has got to be more of a priority to us right now rather than a guy like Ashworth.

umm...no ashworth is pretty big for us man...we get him it pretty much solidifies our line.

Signing a safety this early in free agency isn't an absolute. Other safeties will get cut down the line. You also have no idea what the phins will draft either. It's not totally desperate there as the team has Tillman, Bell and now Renaldo Hill in the mix.

Daniels could also move over if need be.

Schulters will probably re-sign for a good price, he respects Saban and likes the way the team is going! Give it some time.

God my brain explodes everytime I hear that. I love how one media article can drive rumor for the rest of a players life. If the safety situation got dire during the season due to injuries and the phins had a lot of depth at CB I could see such. Daniels however was drafted as a CB and from day one was slotted in as a CB and Saban has shown not even a whiff of ever using Daniels at safety. Why anyone would move a young starting CB who held their own after one year is beyond reason.

I don't think you move Daniels to saftey especially how good he played last year at CB. But safties get released all the time. Just like Schulters did last year. I think we will be fine at saftey for now.

Travis Daniel will never be a Saftey for the Miami Dolphins. He is a good corner and worth so much more as a corner. I don't know why anyone would want to take a good corner like him and put him at saftey cause that is like taking away from another need area. We are not deep at corner and need him there. Schulter's would be great to resign for a couple of year!

schulterrs will resign i just think saban wants to get everything else done because je nows schulters wants to be here and he has probably informed him we want him back

Daniels is better served where he is...he played outstanding for being a rookie last season....Im telling you guys Poole and Daniels have a chance to be as good of a tandem as Pat and Sam!

Sorry dude, guess that went over like the titanic. Still love hearin from you brother J-2
I also think Shulters will re-sign at a nice price. He had a great atitude last year, was a part of the revamp (Even though he is getting on in Football years) and I think he wants to be a part of it.
Tom Ashworth would also be a HUGE singing (Would also mean Brady is gonna take more shots :D )

So did the idea that Miami would run a 3-4 last offseason. I stand by what I wrote. Daniels could move over to S if need be. In fact, it would only be smart to do so if he gets buried in the depth chart at CB (something I think is quite possible, particularly with Goodman, Hill, Poole, and possibly a 1st round pick CB) and would get more playing time at S.

Many thanks. I have been pretty scarce in this forum since the season closed out.

He's going to want a multi-year deal. I'm fine with giving him one if it is at a nice price.
