just checked on draftcountdown.com once again... i was looking at the "ask scott" page and i found something interesting.

here was the question:

My favorite team is the Miami Dolphins and I was wondering what you thought we might do next offseason.

I won't re-transcript his answer, here's the link:

I want Everette Brown from FSU. He has a nose for the ball and he leads the nation in TFL.

Clint Sintim, B.J. Raji, Brian Orakpo - 1 of those 3 should do nicely.

My order is Raji and Brown first but I have a feeling brown will go top 12 ala ware merriman jump.

and with Saoli doing his Samoan Gangsta Party impression, look's like Raji is getting very attractive

So true. Raji looked pretty good against Maryland. I'll say this much, I'd hate to be Jeff Ireland and have to decide between Clint Sintim and B.J. Raji - there's no sure bet such another sure thing at NT or SOLB can be had post 1st round.

I don't think they'll go NT... we'll adress the position in the draft but further.

Remember how they did in dallas ? ratliff was a 7th round pick and i think Jeff will keep the same formula: get some skilled players early at the OLB position or CB, and draft a big fella they think they can coach and devellop into a stud. Ferguson is good for another year and Randy Starks can spare ferguson on passing downs, so there's not a real sense of urgency to draft a "first-rounder / immediate starter" player at the NT position.

watching Sintim in his last game he wanst very impressive. I wrote about him in one of my posts if you come across it check it out. I'm doing like 234324 multitasking right now so I'm a bit lazy to re-write it lol

I htink that was the problem in dallas. they weren't SO great on defense even though they had so much talent. They were constantly bad in COverage and decent in run D. Sure they got sacks but its not just about sacks. Look at pitts or the giants, they DOMINATE the line and DOMINATE the pass. thats how NE was as well. that happens by having your D linemen CAPABLE of putting pressure w/out constant blitzes. that being done it allows you to have an extra LB or 2 in coverage instead of him going for the QB and leaving holes in teh defense to be exploited
