19. Ronnie Brown, Miami Dolphins
Superpower -- Brown is an extremely talented player who can contribute on first and second down. He is a tough, strong inside runner who has the ability to wear down defenses. He has an excellent combination of athleticism and size around which new head coach Tony Sparano can build his offensive system.
Kryptonite -- Injuries. Brown started the first seven games of the season last year before landing on injured reserve with a knee injury. He has never played a full 16-game season in his short career and has yet to prove he can carry a consistent load. Brown is more natural running behind a fullback and doesn't have much value as a receiver out of the backfield at this point in his career.

Is there an icon for throwing up... 19? Haha... Through week 7 of last year led the league in YFS and was top three in rushing yards... ESPN at its best

Are You On Crack Bud!! Ronnie Is A Great Pass Threat Out Of The Back Field!!

Dosent have much value as a receiver out of the back field?? WTF? Brown has better hands than most of our wideouts and TE's.

i disagree with that article saying he cant catch.he was leading the league in yards from scrimmage last yera berfore he ght hurt.he can catch

"Brown is more natural running behind a fullback and doesn't have much value as a receiver out of the backfield at this point in his career. "

What the heck is that supposed to mean? He was and still is a major threat out of the backfield as a receiver. He only played 7 games last year and still ended the season as the team's leading WR.

If Ronnie can fully recover and play a full season, he is a top 5 back and arguably the BEST overall(running/receiving) back in the NFL.

ESPN sporting journalism at its best

Yes i would have to totally agree, there little assesment on the top back rankings is very screwed up, and just goes to show ya that espn only gives good props to popular players regardless of skill. lemme guess reggie bush was number 10 lmao.

too bad they dont let you comment on their page.. wow.. i am flaberghasted by this garbage article... Wow, just wow

I really dont think these people who write this crap even watch the players.Cant catch.. the guy was on pace to smash the record and lets not forget they misused him in the first couple weeks.Does anyone no where to get the stats on how many times he was thrown to and how many he dropped. This guy does not no what hes talking about. They should have put disregard this statement on the bottom..lol

ESPN never seases to amaze me......they have been anti-dolphin since that balding peice of garbage who like to hit on interns (Chris Berman) took the NFL Reins. I dont mind the negatives...he does get injured alot, but saying brown cant catch is like saying Bo Bice isnt cool. He led the team in receptions for most of the season for gods sake!

10. Marshawn Lynch, Buffalo Bills
Superpower -- For a back who had concerns about toughness, Lynch sure does know how to finish. He lowers his pads and breaks tackles on first contact. He showed solid vision and run instincts last year as a rookie, something many first-year backs struggle with.
Kryptonite -- Lynch needs to develop his receiving skills; he had 18 receptions out of the backfield last season. He does not show a lot of wiggle and can be a bit of a straight-line runner. He needs to become a better blocker, as he missed some blitz pickups that resulted in QB sacks last season.

There is no way Ronnie is #19 and Lynch #10, if healthy, Ronnie is a top 5 RB. Lynch showed good things last year but in order to put him ahead of Taylor, Brown, McGahee and Lewis, he should proove he can be a complete back. I hope fantasy league players believe this pathetic ESPN list, then; I will be very lucky of drafting Brown on the third or fourth round.

When it rains it pours for us. Seems like when we are bad they cant find any positives in anything, take the madden 09 game this year...we are ranked last behind the falcons and a number other crappy teams. Are those stats right....some of them...but surely we are not worse than the falcons and the 49r's to name a few. People are so stupid i swear.
