Just reserved my seats for the upcoming scrimmage at Hard Rock on August 4th. I'd been checking every day for them to finally open up tickets. Wanted to post about it here in case others didn't know about it seeing as it's not something we often have done unless I just miss it every year. Scrimmage will run from 11- 4 next Saturday and admission is free just RSVP for seats at Miamidolphins.com/trainingcamp.

I'm also gonna be heading down for the first day of camp Thursday.

It's finally here! Fins up!

I had my fingers crossed for the longest time that they would have an open joint practice with Carolina again this year. would've been a little tougher on me since I would've had to waste a vacation day this go round (5 day a week job instead of 2-2-3) but I would've. have a blast for me and the rest of us out of staters

So.......F'in.......jealous. Have fun though. I won't be coming down to Florida until the first week of September so I intend to go to the Titans game.

To all you South/Central Florida fans, don't miss out on training camp this year.

That place better erupt at the first site of #17.

I remember when we scrimmaged against Carolina a few years ago, I think the first year we picked up Suh? We dominated them so bad, they asked us to tone it down so their O could run their plays. We were so hyped! We went 6-10 and they went to the Super Bowl. Another nut shot of a lesson about not getting too up or down with training camp and scrimmages.

Scrimmages, training camp, draft parties etc are the only things I really miss out on as an international fan (the Jets game in septmeber will be my 3rd game in 4 years so thankfully I have had the opportunity to see live games) and I always feel deeply jealous

I think that was the first time I starting taking no stock at all in the scrimmages. They really don’t mean much. Maybe have more to do with getting rooks up to speed with game speed.

I was there for one practice. It was sure hot out there. I brought my mini Dolphins helmet and a sharpie. But by the time the practice ended, we were on fire and headed to the car.

honestly I was going to go kid free if they showed up this year. my old roomie is diehard panthers fan, he used to go to at least a day or two of their training camp every year. finally one year I was like okay ill go. 2.5 hour ride, hot... sitting on grass... bored cause I only half way gave a damn about panthers cause they were home team, but were their the entire time. my first year of marriage I think is last time they had joint practice, took my 13 year old step son, paid the stupid hotel fees since it was a morning practice and wasn't no way I was driving in that workday traffic at 8 AM, think we got out there by 9, by 930 he was already bitching moaning and groaning, was like screw it ill go back. so prob $200 on hotel, $75 on gas and food, and about 5 hours of drive time for 30 minutes. I told my wife that I was hoping the fins were coming to practice again this year "oh you can take grayson again itll be fun" "hell no! im going myself if they do" if it was 15-30 mins away I wouldn't mind as much, but 5 hours round trip im sucking it up and staying the entire time even if my fatass smells like bacon by the time its over. I was even like you want to go by the fence to meet the players, nope lets stay up here.

but yeah august in the Carolinas ughhh, my old best friend I played HS ball with, every year we call each other when the temps reach 100 and are like "yup, we used to run around in this crap"

the panthers used to have a big scrimmage at the stadium and the wife has mentioned going, I just don't have the desire to deal with that kind of headache for practice for a team im not fully invested in emotionally (that's a sad statement lol)

Today here in Spartanburg it was 82f. Been cool for a week now. Nice, 60's at night.
I loved living in S. FL. But I do not miss the heat. I was born in Miami (N.Shore Hospital) and moved here 32 years ago.
When we left for Key West last time, it was 71 at 10:00.
Two days later when we woke up in Key west, it was already 90 plus. So the days are not that different. But I can go outside right now and its very nice. Not so down there. Even after dark down there its hot as hell. Its 72 at this very moment.
