Talked to my brother who lives in South Florida this evening. He said the mood down there is pretty confidant that the Brees camp is just doing pretty much what we've all been saying....He's visiting the Saints to create some demand on our part. Most reports are saying this, and I'm led to believe that if he makes it to South Florida tomorrow afternoon, he'll be staying for quite awhile. I just don't see how the Saints will be able to beat the weather, locale, and lack of state tax.

There's also the little matter of winning tradition and a very good coach and staff but we don't need to go there; we already know that and hopefully Mr. Brees will too by tomorrow at this time, with a signature on the all important dotted line for the Dolphins!

I dont know... im alittle worried about Saban & Mueller going to AL to visit Brees... if NOLA is offering something crazy...perhaps Miami cant or wont match it..

His Agent is trying to UP the $$$...

NO one in thier right mind would want to play for Saints.....over Miami????

I am confident Brees will come to Miami with an open mind. I doubt Sean Payton will be able to convince Drew to sign right then and there, which means the Fins will get their shot and I suspect Saban will be able to win him over.

I think it's a good gesture on the Dolphins part to show Brees how much he is wanted in Miami. You could tell from his remarks that Brees didn't feel appreciated in San Diego and Miami meeting him early is a good thing.

Or panic mode..worried that Brees will sign with Saints before even visiting Miami

I just hope we get him I need something to feel excited about especially since my broithers steelers won and keeps saying the Dolphins suck.

Not to jump on a tragedy of national proportions but New Orleans is a city that is still in the midst of a disaster. It just can't be any fun to relocate the family and play there. If the money is in the same ballpark we got it. South Florida is beautiful. Drew can get a house on the intercoastal, buy an awesome speedboat and live the great life on a team that's going places fast.

That's what I figured when I heard he was going to NO then Miami. Create a price tag to negotiate with, and sign with the favorable team which is Miami.
