He played some receiver at Utah. Why not try him out receiver? Thoughts?

He is starting at CB as a Rookie in the NFL and doing a damn good job thats why

We have problems in the secondary and you want to take our one real bright spot to move him to WR! I think that's a poor decision, let's let him and Davis become dominant CB's, E.Berry will complete our Secondary and FA should fix our WR problems.

R.Brown doesn't need to play LB, J.Long isn't going to DE and Carpenter isn't becoming the defensive co-ordinator.

I have know real interest in having him play receiver. At least not now. He is doing a great job at corner, I don't think we should confuse him with another position.

This was talked about at length right before the season on here. Smith even let it slip on Aqua Vision that he was "ready to do anything to help the offence, um (bashful grin) I mean defense." So I'm sure they have a couple of routes for him stashed away somewhere.

He means he's gonna start pickin' off balls and returning them for 6!!!!!

Smith needs to fully concentrate on the position where he makes his money. If we are that desperate for a big receiver we do have a guy sitting on his *** on gameday at the moment

Don't see the sense of taking out our best player in a very weak secondary so he can be a limited receiver.

I don't think him running a couple of routes would mean he no longer would play DB. With that said I think we need to just get ourselves a true #1 and leave all the gadgets to collage and high school teams.

Being a starting CB (and our best CB) as a rookie in this league is flat out amazing and not something you want to distract him from. BUT our case is unique in that we have a desperate, glaring need at WR and even though I would usually shoot this kind of idea down immediately our deficiency at playmaking WR is so great that I think I might actually consider using him on some packages.

Like in the red zone where we could use some hops with Turner not getting on the field yet.

Sean's shown some undeniable ball skills which could be useful in the red zone. Whereas according to practice reports, Turner has shown neither skills or balls.
