Diehard Phinatic!
I've been coming on this board for 3 years now and preaching that sean smith is overrated at the cornerback position. He is an above average athlete but and awful CB. I've played football my whole life all the way from flag to college so I would like to think that I know a little bit about the game. I've been around some pretty smart coaches and I feel like I have a good eye for this game and what I've noticed from sean smith in these 3 years is the fact that he is too tall for the CB position and his ability to rotate his hips quick enough and stay with receivers is awful. At damn near 6'4 he is too tall for the position, he is the second coming of lenny walls. Cromartie is a rare occasion. The problem is smith is to stiff and if u notice he cant rotate his hips and stay with his guy, he loses his guy and gets smoked constantly and is a liability out there. Ideally u want your CB to be anywhere from 5'9-6'1 so they can keep that compact frame and stay with their WR. Smith just looks so awkward out there and I still dont understand why he still has a job in the NFL.
