In the NFL, most of the time, teams entering in the playoffs get a pretty much long winning streak before getting there. It's surely looks unrealistic but 1-5 is the same thing as 3-7 (last year) 4 games below .500 and we made a strong push for the playoff. If we turn this thing around and win 3 out of 4 next games (3 at home), we would then be 4-6 (better than last year after 10 games). I know it's almost impossible but we saw teams almost unbeattable after a big turnaround that I hope could happen to our Phins.

One game at a time! Let's go Phins.

That's going to be tough, even if we made 3-3 in the division, the Pats would most likely be 5-1. A mediocre division record would hurt us in a wildcard tiebreaker too. We were 4-2 in the division in 03 and it wasn't good enough to get us in.

I was going to respond to this post but I rather let Tampafinsfan1 handle it.

The season is long since over. The Dolphins may not even beat the Packers today, and when you're in the AFC with 6 losses half way through the season you're done. They shouldn't have won that Titans game so they could be 0-7. But then again they could just as easily be 4-1, 3-2 or something along those lines. Either way, this team cant compete with any of the AFC playoff caliber teams, or even the NFC ones so unless you want to see us struggle to 500. for pride i dont see how anyone could say the season is over.

I'd rather get a high pick.....We have NO shot at the playoffs.

Not that it matters, because I tend to agree with the sentiment that the season is over, but division record means absolutely nothing when determining wildcard tie-breakers. Conference record means a great deal, but division record means nothing.

Yeah well our conference record is even worse.....

1-5

Texans, Jets, Bills, Steelers, Pats all managed to beat us. We could have/should have won several of those games too.
