I think it is a brilliant , creative, and modern idea; but I don't know if it would work in Miami...

They went to the card system, wallet size which you were supposed to get rewards for at concession stands etc. However sometimes we had difficulty when they scanned the cards at the concession stands. Probably most teams will eventually move to something similar IMO.

My card never worked at the concessions either, hope they get that worked out this year. I personally don't even like the cards although I understand the reasoning behind them. I hate having to wear it around my neck because I wear either exercise tight pants with no pockets or shorts with very small pockets and I'm afraid of losing it.
