Just curious how many out-of-state season tix holders there are? I was thinking about doing it this year.....any helpful would be great...especially a hotel that will pick me up at the airport and bring me to the game!!

Thanks

season ticket holder in NJ in sec 125 and Club 225.

I fly down Sunday AM, rent a car from FLL and am at the stadium by 11am, enough time to polish off a 6 pack with the wife in the parking lot and head in

Flight home is at 700pm from FLL and all in the house by 11pm. Its a long day, but since there is no hotel, day flights are cheap if you book in advance and the rental car is 20 bucks since its less than a day. Also, if you get a small rental, the gas gauge wont go off of "F" if you only drive to the stadium and back, so no extra cost of gas.

Ive been doing it for 4 years now.

Wish I had the money to do this. But it is a long commute from Colorado. I just will stick with the satellite dish until I hit the lotto. :D Isn't Dolphin stadium in the middle of the swamps with no bars or restaurants anywhere nearby?

Awesome :hail: :hail: wish we had more diehards like you two at the games. Theres a guy from Cleveland that comes to about 4 games/yr by me sec 115.

I'm in Texas and make the NE game with my season tickets and I just sell off the other games. Flights from Texas to Miami aren't the cheapest so I don't go more often. I'm going to try to make 2-3 games this season though.

I fly down from CT usually on a Friday and would leave on a Sunday. Since I lived down there for 10 years or so, I have friends I can stay with. Also my parents own a house down there, so its a lot easier for me b/c I always have a place to stay. I am actually considering moving back down in July :D .......cant wait!!!!!!!! I miss training camp all summer, gotta love being a teacher w/ summers off!

Yeah man, the stadium isnt really close to anything. Definitely nothing within walking distance. If you drive down the street a bit, theres a decent sized shopping center, but it isnt anything special.

Plus parking stinks too, 20 bucks a pop

Oh well, I'll pay it until I die

I live in NY and was thinking about doing something like this. Would you mind telling me how much it costs you for the season to do this? I might consider doing it.

SeasonTicket holder from Los Angeles. I usually fly out to 2-3 games/year. Section 155 - best seats in the house IMO -- and as far as selling your extras, you will AT LEAST break even. I have never taken a hit. Buy!

Here is the PM i sent to another poster asking the same question. Phinfan2003, where in NY are you? If my wife doesnt come with me, i have a good friend that does that lives in manhattan around Houston St. He flies Jet blue out of JFK and he gets to FLL 10 minutes before me

Yes, I fly out of Newark. Continental has a flight that leaves at 725am and arrives at 1015am in FLL. By the time i walk to the rental counter and get out, im to the stadium by 11am.
Now that JetBlue flys from EWR to FLL, it might even be a little cheaper, but I will stick to Continental so i get my frequent flier miles

I always book my flights around April/May when the schedule is released. Average for the last 2 years for a round trip ticket is 140-160 each. With the rental car, a 6 pack and some food in the stadium, i spend about 225 for the day. Which, if you think about it, go out to a club in Manhattan or NJ, you can easily spend that just having booze. My thought is I might as well spend it in Florida watching my beloved Dolphins.

If your interested, you should get on one of our flights and we can carpool in Florida and save a bit of cash.

Thanks man! I'm honestly considering it. It's something that I've always wanted to do. I'll be in touch.
