Seau: better than you might think

Seau is probobly the 3rd or 4th best linebacker of all time

I think thats a little much. He's got a good motor, and made some plays

But Averaging 95 Tackles, 3 sacks, and less than 1 INT and less than 1 Forced Fumbles a season for your career dosen't even get you in the top 10 IMO

Zach Thomas is better than seau.

At this point in his career...yes. But overall Seau has had a more impressive career. I'm a big fan of Seau but a die hard Fin Fan and I have to say Seau has had a more impressive career.

Despite his age, Junior Seau was having a good season last year in my opinion until the injury. And I think it really hurt our rushing attack, when we lost TimBo, Chester, AND Seau last year. Junior was averaging around 7 tackles a game, and was on the pace to have well over 100 tackles. Not too shabby for a 36 year old linebacker. I'm hoping Seau finishes his career with a good season and goes out in classy way. A Super Bowl would be nice. There's no doubt that he has lost a few steps in his game, but he's still as good if not better than the average LB in today's NFL. He's definitely one of the smartest LB's if not one of the smartest players as they come by in the NFL. He has a great football IQ and is a great veteran leader to the youth of our D... hell Zach Thomas said he even learned a thing or two from Junior, when he came to Miami. That says A LOT.

Andrew Perloff is a writer for SI.com. He has an article where he names an all Jumped-the-Shark Team (great players who played way past their primes). Jerry Rice's signing with Denver was the motivation for such an article, I'm sure. Anyway, he had this little comment from Paul Zimmerman about Junior Seau:

"LB: Bill Romanowski, Oakland Raiders, 2002-03 -- Doesn't exactly fit, because he bounced around during his career, but his last years in Oakland were disastrous enough for him to make the list. His multiple on-field altercations, brutal beating of teammate Marcus Williams and reports of involvement with steroids will overshadow his two Pro Bowl appearances and four championship rings. Miami's Junior Seau was my original pick for this spot because he was a much better player than Romo. But SI.com's Paul Zimmerman had Seau charted as one of the most productive LBs in the league over the last couple of years, so, as always, I deferred to the good doctor."

Comment:
Interesting that even though Seau is older, he is getting the job done. Also, he is the type of large LB that Saban prefers. Perhaps we'll have him for a couple more years.
Good read
