Seau Still Has No Offers

its unfortunate for him, i hope he doesnt have to go out like that

if no offers come up by any teams im sure his agent will contact the chargers to make a one day type of deal so that he can retire as a charger, i still think he has some left in the tank but injuries keep him from the field

i wouldn't mind having him back in a dolphin uniform, especially since the mininmum is only 400k against the cap...

Among other things, he's a liability in coverage.

Too old, too slow, body is breaking down.

I wish he'd retire on his own. But it won't happen.

What do you mean? Go out like what? There's no shame in getting older.

Get real ppl the guy can still play !~
Sure he has goten injured but rest to sure that if a LB goes down early season a team will bring him in.

The guy is still better than avg and still can Blitz the hell out of ppl :dolphins:

I disagree.

When healthy he played well. He's not the pro bowl player he once was but if he was a liability he wouldn't have been a starter.

If he retires i hope that comes back to coach our linebackers.

He definitely well for us last year. Saban put him in position to play as well as he could. Allowing him to freelance a bit also helped.

But he has become a liability in coverage. That's why he continued to play the weakside, where he's not responsible for the TE every down, and Crowder was forced to play strongside.

I'm just saying that, at this point in his career, he needs to be in the right system. He's 37 and his body is breaking down. He hasn't passed the midpoint of a since 2003. And he has a reputation for freelancing (a veteran who freelances). So teams are going to be leery of him.

It's going to take a rash of injuries at the position for a team to come calling.

I don't think Seau would be a particularly good coach. He's just such a natural at the position, I don't think he could effectively communicate with players who aren't as talented as he was. It's sort of like why Dan wouldn't be my pick for QB coach. A guy like Jay Fiedler would be because he had so little talent he had to struggle. That struggle is what makes for a good coach if you ask me.
