- Ernest Wilford had a chance to make a play across the middle on a perfect throw from Pennington, but as the ball hit Wilford in the bread basket safety Ethan Kilmer broke up the play.

Wilford needs to be more physical on a play like that, but Kilmer had a nice day overall. He also had a sack of Henne on a safety blitz.

Free-agent cornerback Eric Green doesn’t look like a player ready to give way to the Dolphins young corners - first-round pick Vontae Davis and second-rounder Sean Smith.

Lining up as the starting CB on the right side, opposite Will Allen, Green stood out during Thursday’s OTA. Green made nice plays to break up a pass to Ted Ginn Jr. in the flat and intercept another one to Ginn … each thrown by Chad Pennington.

If the newbies in the secondary are looking hopeful, I'm pretty optomistic about the whole secondary...good stuff.

There is nothing good or bad that can be taken from OTAs.

Yeah, I would love to see him break up passes against the bigger targets like Patrick Turner or Brandon London

Seriously doubt Kilmer has a shot at making the team. But it is nice to see Eric Green playing with something to prove, just as Sparano said he would. That's one of the reasons they got Green, because he didn't play in 2008 the way he did in 2007 and he has a little something to prove.

This certainly could be a figure of speech, implying the pass was on target, but...

Seriously, The ball should never hit his damn bread basket. I dont know what it is these days, but more and more guys seem to catch the ball with their body instead of using their hands and then bringing the ball in.

Karl Dorrell, George DeLeone, Steve Bush, Dan Henning, and Tony Sparano.....For the love of God, please teach these kids how to catch a football.

And to all my fellow parents out there, teach your kids to catch with their hands:)

Yea I'm thinking that the safties will be Wilson, Bell, Clemons and Culver..but I do think Kilmer is interesting.. I love the competition, can only make everyone better.

Don't think Wilson will make it?

i've said it for awhile now, i expect green to start for at least the first 4-5 games this year, and with allen on the other side, he'll be tested early and often... i seriously don't know what to expect though...

wk1- falcons -> nothing exceptional at WR but matt ryan is dangerous
wk2- colts -> green will probably go up against gonzalez... with manning at QB ? in primetime ? i think green gets beat at least once for a TD
wk3- chargers -> here's a game where green's role might be reduced, especially if he doesn't play well in the first two weeks... the chargers have vincent jackson and IMO it would be a very interesting thing to match him up against a bigger corner like smith, or even a more physical and brutal corner like davis...
wk4- bills -> will allen on evans, green on TO, that's how i see it, and it could be ugly

and now we find ourselves at week 5, before a bye, against a putrid jets offence... it would be a real good opportunity to put in davis at starting corner if green isn't doing good and davis is ready... my take is here's the game where davis starts.
it's a perfect opportunity, and the kid has a bye week to watch tape from the jets game, learn from his mistakes, get ready for the next game against the saints
