Don't get me wrong I loved that win yesterday as any other Dolfan, but the secondary still scares me. A few of those plays that plummer threw deep, but didn't make the completion our cornerback was beat pretty badly. Against, a better receiver that would have been a score. I believe I saw this happen two times. Once the quarterback rolled out, we seemed to have a problems. Hopefully, we can correct that in the future. GO FINS!!!!

once a QB rolls out most defense get beat if they dont get to the QB. cause the WR is no longer running a route, he'll jump go anywhere he wants, which is usually away from the corner....

It would have been nice to see another safety back there at least. We might have problems with more mobile Qb's that can make plays like that. At least we won't be seeing to many in the next few weeks.

well we are blitzing a lot more now, which means we cant leave our safties in cover 2 all the time. or double teaming. i understand your concern, but it should be OK. QBs rarely can hit WRs on the run, and without knowing exactly where the WR will be, Jake is pretty good at that, we got lucky yes. but we wont have the same problem with Chad.

McNair may not be able to run like he used to, but hes just as slippery as Jake the snake.

Was it Edwards and Daniels that were beat on those plays?

McNair is no Jake the Snake. That guy is amazing at escaping. He gives you fits. The biggest problem is that he gets frustrated easily

McNair is much more too big to bring down. If he doesn't get sacked it is generally a move and strength. Jake is more a bunch of moves and "how did he do that?".

Well, the one play I remember, Lelie had Daniels beat badly and ended up stopping his route only to see the ball go over his head. Had he kept running, he hits it in stride and scores six. However, Plummer is the strangest mobile QB I can remember. Players like Young, McNair, Culpepper and even Fiedler seem like they can run and throw and make a play. Plummer I almost hope he does start running because his decision making goes right out the window and he overthrows/throws picks.

I agree that the secondary needs to keep working but I like the fact that we are sending blizters and forcing the QB to beat us outside. I think we will see more good and bad from those types of tactics.

I know they threw Madison's way several times.Teams are gonna pay.It looks like they think he has nothing left.I can see him having a better year.

We will gameplan differently from week to week. That's the beauty of having a REAL coach. I thought the secondary played pretty well, especially compred to what Oakland had on the filed on Thursday. The Raiders were dropping 8 into coverage and there were still Patriots running wide open.

Point is that with Pennington that's a good 5-6 sacks and we do have a better DL still than the Chiefs. We need to rotate our DEs like mad next week against the Jets OL and hammer their RT. We know that J.T. can take down Fabini with near ease.
