Secondary stepping up

Dont know if you have noticed but the defence's tackling is real good. Defensive line is getting preasure and sacks, even if a pass is connected or a runner breaks open, they are on the case and bring the player down. the secondary is doin a great job at this department.

last few years was quite bad.... seemed like it was only zach and JT doing all the tackling.

looks like we are going with 5 safeties (Crocker, Bell, Hill, Jason Allen and Keith Davis) and 4 CB's (Will Allen, Goodman, Lehan and Nathan Jones) . . with Jason Allen being the versatile guy who can play both positions to give them some added depth (Hill also can play CB in a pinch). . . this probably made Daniels more expendable. Even though Keith Davis will probably NEVER see the field on defense, he is a special teams guru and was brought in for that. Pretty much he is this year's Cameron Worrell, and will only see action via injury.

The organization has been very satisfied by the secondary from the beginnning, and probably felt it was the strongest postion on the TEAM, when they first got here. Who would have thought that.

The secondary did a decent job IMO, they left a couple of picks on the field though. But overall, I think they all did an excellent job. That starting D-line is vicious though.
