Secondary

r marshall and vonte davis at CB
S smith at FS
r jones at SS

Richard Marshall is a great fit at nickel, and not great at BCB. I aso don't get putting Sean Smith at FS - he has stonehands most of the time.

I think it will be vontae and marshall starting at the corner spots in base package with marshall sliding in and smith taking the outside when we go nickle. Plays to both their strengths and gets our moneys worth out of marshalls contract. At safety i see clemons and jones having the early advantage with wilson coming in on dime packages while he learns the position more. Expectations for our team r going to be low this year so it will be a good chance to let the new coaching staff look at our young platers and see what they have.

My one real worry is if we get injuries at cb cause i have very lil confidence in carrol or any of our others outside of the top 3

Ok so its very obvious all the moves we have been making to make our offense better, but with that said it wont matter if our secondary continues to get blown out... what do you think are moves are from here till season opener to solidify our secondary?

The Giants had a totally depleted secondary last year... Patriots had nobody back there... the Packers defense was swiss cheese... the rules nowadays make a shutdown secondary less of a priority

I think it could become a high priority next offseason. This team had a lot of holes and, like you said, the concentration this year was on offense. Next year depending on how players develop, I could see an overhaul of the secondary for sure. The only guy I really like in the secondary is Davis.

What he said. I agree.
