See what you said about Berlin last week!!!

i looked, and i dont think ive seen anyone who bashed him posting. maybe they're eating their fist at the moment.

I did make a comment about his INT because the guy to his right side was wide open but Berlin didn't look that way, just stared down who he was going to throw it to. I do see some promise in Berlin, but let's not forget that he is playing against 2nd and 3rd string defenses(that is in no way saying he sucks or you guys are stupid for liking him or anything like that, just reminding everyone the defenses he is playing).

Having said that, I do like what I see out of him(other then the int)

Ok.

If anything, I would like to see Saban bump Berlin up to playing after the starter in the last preseason game, that way we as fans and them as coaches can see what he can do against the next level of nfl players.

A worthwhile approach to either reveal unseen sparks of valuable potential, and/or in making an ultimate decision of his possible release,
one that could then be made with an added measure of perspective.
The only thing worse than lacking the means to acquire top talent, is failing to recognise it, when its on your team.

Well, after 4 years of watching an experienced QB make that same type of interception over and over again, It really didn't tick me off that he threw it. I hate the interceptions that happen on our side of the 50, because not only does that kill a drive, it puts the opp. in a really good scoring position.

I think its fair to conclude, that the level of talent was never in question, only in what that measured degree, could ultimately achieve.

Hard to say, which misconception is more defeating.

I can see that happening in one of these pre-season games... I do think that with the first-teamers, he might be up for a rude awakening.

Glad he scored that TD yesterday.. It boosted his confidence. I still don't think he'll make the final roster though.

Take a look at the game, and I'll say it just like I said it last week. Brock was in the shotgun, two minute offense. Fourth stringers at that. Put him behind Center, against a first string defense and it's a whole different story written about him.

He has a great big heart, and if he could ever learn to play a game under Center, then he could compete. Until then he is going to be backing up, or packing up and learning German.

berlin played during mop up duty. were there any players on the field that are even going to make eithjer teams final roster? that would be like jax fans thinking that garrard should start because lefwich did absolutely nothing yesterday.

I have yet to see a whole lot from Leftwich to say 100 percent that Garrard shouldn't be starting. We all know he is talented, but he still needs to learn how to make throws that aren't the big kind.
