Towards the bottom of this SportingNews.com article, when they're making Super Bowl picks, Lee Roy Selmon says:

"All right, I'll give you a shot in the dark. How about Miami vs. Green Bay? A cold- weather team against a warm-weather team."

Shortly thereafter, Dan Reeves agrees that Miami is a dark horse candidate:

"A team like Miami made the playoffs this year after winning only one game last year, so if they can continue improving, they could have a shot."

i think that if we get some good players via draft and F/A then we have a shot

That's supportive.

I think we'll make great strides this year on our team, although our record may not show that. We've got the toughest schedule in the NFL next year, so if we don't make it, it won't surprise me, but I'll always be behind our team and root them on good or bad.
 
I dont listen to the "experts" anymore. They had enough chances last season to get something right.

The last time these news people picked us to win the Super Bowl, 2006 happened. :(

What's still amazing to me is last offseason we were saying " I think we'll make the playoffs within the next 2-3 years " and we've already accomplished that ..:woot:
 
I dont think its possible this coming season but the year after, with our young players and some good drafts, I think we could have a real good shot!
 
Thats what is funny about the sched. Anyone who thinks we will have a rough year doesn't think we have a good team (alright they may be realists) but to play devils advocate. It doesn't matter how tough your sched. is, if you really think you can make the sb, you gonna have to beat all those teams anyway. I know that three years ago in 04 when ne had a brutal sched. and they still won it all, nobody in ne was worried (i know i lived in maine). Thats mostly because they belived that the other teams were beneth them.

Looking at last offseason, the teams to beat were the jets,bills,broncos,sea,dal,hou,ne,sd,ind,jax. when the year played out. only two of those teams made the playoffs.(only one of them convincingly) I would not worry about the teams that were in there this year. If history tells us anything. watch out for the raiders, lions,kc. I thank god we don't have the lions or raiders or kc on our sched, that could be a brutal sched.:lol:
