I hope people stop thinking about Woodson and Brennan. I never liked em any way and this is not helping them at all.

The real guy we all should be looking at who is on his way and worrying me because he is shooting up boards is Ahtyba Rubin. HE IS THE BEST 3-4 NOSE TACKLE IN THIS DRAFT

Two DT's I'm watching

Red Bryant/DT/Texas A&M: Bryant was near dominant all afternoon, collapsing the pocket and driving blockers off the line. His main opponent during practice, center Kory Lichtensteiger of Bowling Green, was so frustrated he resorted to fisticuffs at one point.
Dre Moore/DT/Maryland: He displayed great explosion off the snap and was unblockable for most of the day. Moore also went hard for most of practice, something he's not known for.

Why I don't take these sites seriously:

Harry Douglas from U of L. CNNSI says he's a riser and is fighting for balls against larger DBs and such including having his picture on the webpage, while the other site says he's struggling? 2 different people see 2 different things? Come on, its more likely someone on either of the sites doesn't know what to look for when scouting talent.:err:

Yes he is climbing, another guy I'm really inetersted in seeing play against the South D-line is Carl Nicks. There isn't a guy on the North side who can make him break a sweat.

Sam Baker will probably be a guard. Barry Richardson needs to be covered up on the right side. he will get exposed in the NFL, and I've said that since Sept.

Gosder Cherilus is helping himself. It is evident he is not a 'pure' LT which most knew anyway. But, he has acquitted himself there, showing he could play in a pinch if needed. He is however a road grader at RT.

The GBN report is awful. Some guys he said did well, were getting stoned or beaten badly from what I saw on the NFL network.

I just wonder what our talent scouts have to say about these kids? Who cares what so and so from I Don't Know Squat Magazine, website, blog, etc., etc. have to say. They're getting paid to write stuff for Joe Average Fan, not talent scouts for pro teams.

I don't know if you've noticed, but the GBN report is the same report on Scott Wright's site...it's written by the same guy, and it's from the Monday afternoon session.

Yeah about the only guy I trust is Brandt on NFL.com and I even take his info with a grain of salt. At least you know his credentials. It seems to me you have no idea who's writing these critiques or what their background knowledge is.

The only opinions that matter are the teams' GM opinions. And you don't really know those opinions until draft day and after. That and Boomer's opinion...:)

I didnt actually read the gbnreport. I dont like rutting thru paragraphs. Id rather look at the quick one liners. I did know they had a deal going so they could each have info when the teams practiced at the same time on monday.

Thats really not all that fair. NFL Scouts screw up all the time and miss people and have different opinions of people. It could be that when one saw Hawkins he was doing good when the other saw him he was doing bad. Its hard for one person to watch everything. Its only information and it should be taken with a grain of salt, but when every site is saying Adarius Bowman is dropping almost everything ala Derek Hagan Id stay away from him.

Heres another one that made me chuckle. THe three blurbs on Colt Brennan

Colt Brennan/QB/Hawaii: Brennan's inadequate arm strength is obvious to all in attendance. His passes lack any velocity which gives the defensive backs extra time to break up his throws, something that's been a common occurrence.

• The headliners of the South team are the quarterbacks so why don't we start there. To be honest nobody stood out, although if you put a gun to my head I'd say Hawaii's Colt Brennan looked the best, although just by the narrowest of margins. I actually found a spot on the sideline where the quarterbacks were throwing 20 yard outs right in my direction to try and gauge arm strengths and it was almost too close to call. Kentucky's Andre Woodson and Tennessee's Erik Ainge seemed to float their throws a bit whereas Brennan gets them there on a rope. Brennan also showed the ability to fit balls into a tight spot although he seemed a bit indecisive at times.

Meanwhile, Hawaii QB Col Brennan gets plenty of zip on his passes but has a really unorthodox delivery. Indeed, whereas most passers start their release from a ****ed position somewhere behind their ear, Brennan literally shoots from the hip with his release starting down around his waist. As such when his mechanics are on Brennan throws darts, but when they are off the ball sails.
