Lemon is not meant to be any savior. He is not meant to be an answer. Unlike the pressure on Feeley, who had too much hype to begin with for a desperate regime that needed to win immediately, there will likely not be a player that comes in to Miami with such expectation from Saban. For one thing, Saban isn't going to place that expectation on one player. He is from the "Team" philosophy to begin with and will find parts to the puzzle, not the finished product.

Lemon might pan out, and he might not. Nothing gained or lost there. And the 3.5 million or what ever the figure is will be used to make important additions. This trade is much like the trades you may see in the NBA, where players are traded to save money more so than gain talent. Talent is gained later through that money saved and not immediately in the trade.

As I have stated before, most of us on this board do not have data on individual players needed to make personnel decisions to begin with. Lemon has probably been throughly researched. He at least has something to start with. And my guess is he will be given opportunity in Miami. This year, next year. Who knows.

It is often hard to determine where simple venting starts and instant gratification ends. Sometimes I can not tell the two a part on this board. I work with children in my job and I see instant gratification desired all the time. But what is alarming is I see a strong trend of instant gratification desired from adults. Our culture is becoming known for instant gratification. Take that for what it is worth.

Ya OK, our society has been becoming that way for the last 100 years or since the beginning of time, depending on how you see it. Tell us something we didn't know, or what you think of this instant gratification at least. I like instant gratification when I can get it but it doesn't make for the best results all the time does it. I t has nothing to do with children, most humans are that way.

A better way to put it...

It is more unmanaged and evident in children, but all people deal with it. A child is not necessarily going to care to manage the urge, adults are supposed to use some restraint. It might be better if I said I see less restraint in giving in to the desire for instant gratification. What do I think of that. Well, you put it well in that giving in to instant gratification is not necessary a good thing if always done (restraint rarely used). It can lead to obsessions and take away attention needed to other things.

I dont know how anyone can say anything about who is suppose to be what! We are going to draft a Qb or two next year and we will see what sticks. Obviously, we are hoping Lemon gets the O and sticks! I dont think they believe anything until they see it, as it should be for everyone who thinks they know anything about football.
