Sept 1st cap #s for all NFL teams

One has to wonder about the reliability of those numbers...if it's true...we have some wiggle room.

I believe Florio's numbers to be correct. That is about what I expected Miami to be at when I read in a local article that we were only $1 million under the cap. I was skeptical about the latter number.

I actually trust Florio's sources on this. He got some ultra detailed information on the top 5 draft picks' contracts...actually concluded that Ronnie Brown signed a bad, bad deal which I guess is good from a team perspective. This salary cap info may have come from the same source.

How in the world do the Colts still have cap room? We don't have anyone that has a deal near to what some of their players have. They almost seem to have an endless cap.

And to think we actually have some 2nd-string guys we could easily release and free up several million more...

Wow, the Eagles are 12+ mil under???? nice franchise mgmt!

That is how you keep a team intact and vying for the playoffs year in and year out.

Most teams sacrifice their future to be able to compete for the SB now only to go into a cap funk a couple of years later. The Chiefs seems to be following that pattern this year.

Eagles and Cowboys can still play around a fair bit it they like.

So who's right on this one? Clumpy said we had agout 6 mil, this says 3.78? I have faithe in clump (the only bills fan that is cool), and pft is sometimes a little off....

The eagles us the "likely to be earned" incentives to cheat on the cap. Basicaly those incentives count on that years cap, but if they are not earned ($300,00 if a ST player recovers a fumble and returns it 90 yards for a TD, it's considered likely to be earned cause he did it last year) Then they get a credit on the next years cap. Their adjusted cap figure is actually like 95 million. There is a good thread on this somewhere that i will look around for.

clumpy does it as a hobby, the #s on PFT are probably very accurate

I believe Clumpy numbers makes some assumptions such as getting relief from Thompsons contract if we cut him etc.
