The 37 - 0 win over the Chargers was probably the best performance of the season, with total and complete dominance on Offense, Defense and Special Teams. This was the game a few days after Joe's Dad passed away and the team played as cohesively as I've seen in any game over the past 10 years and this was against a team generally regarded as competitive against good teams. Hayden rates their coach as vastly superior to Philbin.
How is it that the Dolphins were capable of total dominance (we could have won by a lot more - the backups played the final quarter) in that game but we took ages to get going in some other games and fell away badly in others? Why is it so?
Do you think that Joe's absence to grieve helped to fuel the result? If the team is capable of real dominance, why didn't we see it more often? And don't tell me Rivers just had a bad day.
This game said that the Dolphin team ceiling is very high. I welcome your thoughts...
