Settlement reached for stadium in LA

yeah they got past one hurdle, but plenty more to go. I believe it when the NFL announce a re-lo, until then, it's all California BS. If they wanted a team that bad, it would have been done years ago.

I do agree with you though, the Jags are the most likely candidate.

Don't be so sure. The Vikings can't get a stadium deal done, and until Favre came back to rekindle a little interest in them they couldn't draw either. The football following is definitely much better in Minnesota, but people just aren't going to see games in that rat trap unless the Vikings are Super Bowl caliber (which they might be now but i doubt it). In this economic atmosphere there isn't going to be a stadium deal for the Norsemen either. If Red McCombs didn't sell them i could have seen them moving before the Jags.

Chargers are also having stadium troubles if I'm not mistaken

California is pretty much bankrupt. Are the new owners building it?

It wouldn't be a long move for them either. LA and SD are geographically reasonably close, even though there is a great amount of population there. That population still didn't keep any of the old teams in LA. \

Also, aren't the Chargers originally from LA for like a year?

Anyway, I'd hate to see a supportive fanbase be denied just because the NFL wants a team in LA. Unfortunately, the economy has dictated that some markets are struggling to support.

I still say the Jags are the most likely candidates, but other possibilities are the Raiders moving back and I've even heard rumors about the Bucs (although I highly doubt it).

If not the Rams, I see the Jags.

Oakland's not going to move back down there, not with Mt. Davis there now, Minnesota possibly, but I can't see them moving anytime soon.

So either the Rams or the Jags.
