My gut says he realizes the Dolphins are in a position to take legal action to recoup that signing bonus, and saying he wants to play again is just a way to avoid paying back the 5m.

Maybe a cynical POV but it certainly isn't that far fetched.

That makes sense. But it doesn’t explain why the fins didn’t start the process sooner.

Every dollar they get back carries over to next year’s cap if they don’t spend it.

Also, in the case of Ricky, I think they got a prorated credit for his signing bonus. He owed it to them, and they didn’t go after him because they were hoping he would return.

If I am remembering that right, we would be due 2/3 of his bonus back no matter what, unless they leave him off the roster so he can’t accrue and make him play or pay back next season.

Tyus Bowser is injured and not playing tomorrow- I think Barrett would be a wise move- he obviously won’t play tomorrow, but we need to sure up the edges for this run

I’m worried about this game for us. Trying to contain Waddle and Hill without Alexander in the lineup scares me. Love has been throwing lots of interceptions this year too. Last Thanksgiving we somehow beat Detroit in Detroit. We might be in for a letdown. Hope I’m wrong.
