Sharper benched for Minny {fins related}

"potential"

sharper is 'proven'
Absolutely he is and he'll want to get paid like someone who's proven. Considering how many positions we have where there isnt even "potential" talent we need to take that into consideration. If Sharper feels like taking less so he can hang out on south beach and forget minnesota then of course you'd pursue it, but he's going to want to get paid.

towards the end of his career, maybe he'll take a cut...good point though

do we try to trade for this well known, good safety? he was benched in the end of the game for minny, and supposedly is being looked to be traded...

what does everyone think? we try to get a veteran safety to help us out? or stick with allen, bell, and what we have now? thoughts...

I don't think safety is really that much of a concern. CB is. A lineup of Will Allen, Andre Goodman, Travis Daniels, Michael Lehan, and Eddie Jackson isn't exactly enticing unless you're the opposing QB. There's not a single decent cover corner among them and especially not a shutdown corner.

We have guys in place right now that can get the job done. We dont need him, we have other needs. But if JT or ZT retire, i think pickin him up would be smart for some veteran leadership that we would be losing

too old. shouldnt have spent a 1st rounder on allen last year... let yehrimiah develop, and keep renaldo fresh.... just in case ( WINK WINK)
