Shaun O'hara on Sirius said he wants to go to a "contender" and he wants a chance to start at Center.

And it is possible however much the fans don't like it, that Miami will not sign a veteran before the first game of the season, because if they're on a roster for the first game their salary is guaranteed.

But the same could be said for cutting under performing vets as well they need to be let go before then too. Or their salary will be guaranteed.

Oh LOL gotta love my spelling of radio. LOL

After Sat nite, the only acceptable reason I can speculate O'Hara's not now a Fin is because he's demanding unrealistic $$$.

When you've got two potentially still effective OLs like him and Gurode available, why do we keep jumping on certified slugs like Columbo and watch windows of opportunity close on guys with seemingly more fuel left in their tanks?

It could be stubbornness.

Tony has kicked the tires on all of his former Cowboys scabs (and as we saw last year, drove on flat tires with guys like Berger and McQuistan)

I'm highly surprised they didn't sign Flozell Adams when he was released (then again, tackle wasn't a big need then and Pittsburgh needed a guy)

O'Hara is likely considering any other options he may have before committing to Miami.

How much leverage can O'Hara have? He's still available so it isn't like every team in the league is asking for him to sign with them.

Every team that is considered a "contender" has their center. But anyway, we need to get him and Gurode in here and cut some bums we have.

I think he needs to understand that he's a FA, the season is days away, and not many teams, if any, need a center. He needs to be a little bit open minded, if not forget it, let's sign someone else, preferrably someone who has had a more lengthy history of playing guard well. Hope a signing goes down today.
