Shawn Murphy Waived... for Lydon Murtha

Interesting. I remember seeing this guy doing combine workouts on NFLN and I was blown away by his speed and agility. He ran a 4.89 forty. I'm assuming we signed him from someone's PS?
 
6'7" 307.....same height as Jake Long. Taller than 6'4" Murphy. Thought they liked Murph.
 
wow a blown 4th rounder... for all the monday morning QBs out there, who was still available in the draft when we picked up Murphy in the 4th??
 
I recall reading that even though a trade may have happened up until 4p it still has to go the NFL for approval, thus sometimes all trades aren't reported by the 4p deadline.
 
yeah grey you are right, people denouncing any trades right at 4 should at least wait until tomorrow.

It seems alot of you guys think we need to hit on every pick, you are DEAD WRONG...a 4th round pick is not that big of a deal, we ended up getting our starter from the 6th round...that why Parcells and Belachik and smart GM know, that if you hit on 50-60% you are doing great, so they stockpile picks to give them the advantage...they are not geniuses, they are playing the odds..if you look at the Patriots, you'll see that alot of thier picks( including high picks) don't pan out, but thay usually have enough picks to get 3 or 4 good players from each draft
 
this is the reason trading picks isnt always a bad thing. Im not a fan of giving away future picks but guys like Murphy make it so tempting
