How would feel if by chance Shedeur Sanders (Colorado) is available at 13, do we pull the trigger and select this player? His arm is not that strong though. But he did complete 81% of his passes in college and is very good inside the pocket. Here are videos in regards to this topic:

Highlight reel:

I do NOT want him since we are in great need in other positions. But that's not what you might think if Sanders is available at in our slot.

Thoughts?

have not studied him so have no clue here

That video came up on my feed earlier. That channel is 90% baseless speculation, IMO.

I think there's zero chance we go that direction.

Having said that, I wouldn't be against it in theory.

He would be a great value at #13. That said, drafting him would bring an unwanted circus from his dad and starting him over Tua that I dont think this team wants and will purposefully try to evade. A trade down would be perfect

Same circus, different clowns.

I don't understand all the negativity directed towards him. I think he is going to become the best QB in this draft, better than Cam Ward.

I know we arent drafting him because we gave Tua the bag last year.

If he is there at 13 then maybe we can entice a team to trade up for him but I don't really think he will be available though.

There is a small group on Twitter who seem to think if he's there at 13 we will draft him and then draft his brother in the 7th round, in an attempt to lure Deion to Miami in 2026.

It's a pipe dream.

My take: Sheduer is a 2nd or 3rd round prospect that is only being discussed as a 1st rounder bc this draft sucks, i want nothing to do with him.

I usually poo-poo the trade down scenarios because it requires someone else looking to trade up, but if Sanders was there with the 13th pick it may be easier to find a trade down partner - Steelers maybe...or Seahawks...but I agree with the previous poster that warned of the circus involved with that last name...

Tua got the bag. 🤣

you get a chance at this guy you have to take him. He is the real deal. This guy throws such a friendly ball to his receivers. He is so accurate that he can the throw ball where only the receiver can get it and it has great touch on it too. Thats a hard combination. Dan Marino could throw everything because his arm was so powerful. This guy is TUA with better accuracy better pocket presence and better raw athletic talent. Tua is too expensive moving forward. If sanders shows up I would take him.... Rather than watching the Jets get him and having him torture us for years to come. Than when a team is desperate for a qb you unload Tua. Get rid of his salary get a player or two and move on...

I genuinely don’t understand why people think he is a good QB prospect. He has a good arm and is very accurate. However, he took a ton of sacks at Colorado and he is not a good runner (152 sacks in 4 seasons, 94 coming the last 2 years). He had 100 rushing attempts this year for -50 yards (he had 111 attempts for -77 yards in 2023).

He reminds me of Watson a bit. I think he has the potential to put up big numbers. I also think it is only a matter of time before he gets hurt taking 50+ sacks a year.

There are QBs I like this year. I wouldn’t mind spending a day 2 or early day 3 pick on guys. I wouldn’t draft Sanders unless he was available 98th. Even then it’s probably not worth it for the media carnival.

I just can’t possibly see a qb room that consists of Tua, Sanders, and Wilson. Tua would have to get moved and there’s no way this regime or another team makes that trade.

Would Pittsburgh give us a 5th for Tua if Sanders slips to 13? I don’t know.

This explains why he was sought after by top colleges. Oh no. Wait. He wasn’t. 😂
