In most credible mock drafts I have seen, the Dolphins are picking OT Winston Justice. Now with Shelton being out LT, and Carey obviously our RT, we don't really need to draft O-line in first round. With that said, depending on how the rest of free agency pans out, in theory the Dolphins could go with the "best player available" philosophy. Assuming we get a QB, the Dolphins could now justifebley draft a WR, DT, OLB, CB, or S. This is exciting for the simple fact that it is completey un predictable who the Dolphins will draft!

If we sign Brees and now that we've signed Shelton, looks like it'll be D in the first all the way.. I think Safty or CB is the only way to go. I know we just signed a CB, but we will be looking for DB help no matter what..

I'd be surprised if we don't go DB or safety. We need a big upgrade here. IF Cutler is around still - maybe but my bet would be secondary help.

I think alot of the mocks were incorrect on Winston in the first place. I think first pick has to be CB.

If Miami signs Brees to go along with Shelton, the Miami offense is essentially complete.

Miami will probably draft DT, DB, and OLB in about that order in the first day. The DB and LB classes are deep, so Miami can draft 2 starters in the first three rounds.

I like this signing cause personnally, I don't like drafting 1st round Olinemen..I think the best way to build an OL is mixing mid-late round draft prospects + Big FA names, like Shelton. This is a formula that works if you have a great OL coach, who can develop the late drafted guys, something we have. So we can spend our better picks in other areas of need.
Awesome signing to me.

Now that the Cardinals signed Edge OT is their next great need which probably means Justice would not have been available to us anyway.

I am hoping we trade down and get some extra picks and load up on defense.

Based only on what we've seen so far, it would appear a corner or DT would be the likely first round target, there could be chance they have a real high grade on perhaps a Chad Jackson or somebody else....we'll see.

In my opinion it comes down to one of 4 players, or the always popular TRADE DOWN option. 2 Dbs: Jimmy Williams, VA TECH; Tye Hill, CLEMSON; 1 LB: Chad Greenway, IOWA; 1 hybrid DE/LB: Manny Lawson NC STATE... other sceondary options could be Demeco Ryans LB, Alabma or Gabe Watson, DT, i forgot which school he hails from~ NOTICE ALL DEFENSE THOUGH

antonio cromartie all the way. if we sign arrington (which i dont think we will) chad greenway or bobby carpenter would be cool with me

You can never have enough good Off. Lineman on a team. There is a shortage of good Off. Lineman in the NFL.
